Noah chuckles and goes back to his work. His pencil doesn't touch the page before he's looking up at Rex again. "Wait—you're serious this time."

White Knight doesn't greet Rex—just says, "Your stay here comes with conditions. You realize that by now, yes?"
"Um. Yeah."
"Good. You will behave and do as you are told without question. Cooperate with the doctors, but you will listen to Six and other agents first and foremost."
Rex chews the inside of his lip. "Yes."
White Knight clears his throat. "Is that how you show respect to those above you?"
His face flushes and burns against the recycled air. "Yes, sir?"
"Hm," White Knight looks down his nose at him. "This is really just a formality. A reminder that everyone answers to me, and if you break the rules I will know about it."
"I won't," he insists.
"We'll see." He sounds nearly bored when he says it.

He and Six spar for a while with the tonkas. Rex is clumsy with it, more used to his builds, and when Six doesn't press forward after he disarms Rex he knows the conversation is coming.
"Rex," Six begins stiffly, "living without a dynamic isn't so bad. People can't judge you for something you have no control over. You're not a slave to your biological functions. Speculation occasionally works in your favor." He speaks like he's reading off a mental list.
Rex huffs. "You have a dynamic though. Hiding it is different than being an EVO freak."

Summary
Ruby has finally found herself attending Beacon Academy, and two years earlier at that! However, an awkward coincidence with a certain watch-wearing dweeb leads to her having one very incompetent alien bodyguard—or so she thinks, anyway.
Ben’s just finished saving the world—no, the universe, from the Highbreed invasion, and he’s beginning to lose his grip on the “hero mentality”, becoming more cocky and stuck-up. However, with Ozpin forcing him to attend Beacon as bodyguard, maybe he’ll learn that you can’t have your cake and eat it too—unless you’ve got Four Arms.
Rex is an odd experimental product of nanite experimentation (say that three times fast), leaving him classified as an Evo…but he can control the nanites, not the other way around! He ends up attending Beacon also via Ozpin to prove that he truly isn’t some mindless Evo.
Randy has no idea why the Ninja title was passed on to him—he’s just some kid. But with more threats popping up in Remnant, he doesn’t get to chill in hometown Norrisville anymore—it’s time to Ninja Up and learn to fight—while still keeping his secret identity…well, secret.
What will this odd tie-in of fates mean? (I’m finding that out as I write this.)
