Alistair and Fenella were based on Peter and Michelle. Expect deep dives into the supernatural and Victorian society. Slow romance is the best kind. Ash will not only need to face his near death trauma but also deal with events outside his control as destiny will not wait for the Chosen One to recover. How will everything now change due to Ash needing a year to delay his jounrey? What friends will he make? What will his new team be? What will happen to those Ash couldn't have effect in his journey?
Ash and his team must prepare for the challenges that come ahead both now and later.

She wonders if she should call out Colin’s name, to make her efforts to find her friend here on the dark beach more obvious. She doesn’t, though. Something inside her is begging her to keep quiet, and she’s too unsettled to speak.
Penelope waits for what must only be a handful of seconds but it feels much longer. There’s something in this sprawling Cretan shoreline that just doesn't make sense to her. It’s the height of summer, yes, but it’s nighttime and therefore the temperature should be cool and comfortable. Why does the air feel so heavy? Why does everything feel suddenly darker and more intense? Why does it feel like something is decidedly, mysteriously wrong with this scene before her?
