El stood behind him, illuminated in the pale light of his flashlight. She was panting- had she run all the way here? Mike’s stomach twisted suddenly. What was going on? She should be far away from here- she’s supposed to be with Will-!
“Mike,” she said again. “I need to talk to you.”
“Now? El, c’mon, it’s not safe for you- wait.” He paused, his heart rate accelerating before he could even process his thoughts. “Did something happen? To Will? Is he okay-”
“Will. Of course you ask about him.”

Mike runs into Eleven in the woods while on a mission, but something doesn't seem right. In fact, things couldn't be going worse, especially not when she asks about Will, about their past, about why Mike has been *lying* to her...
