This is a very self indulgent fic haha. The history of the Owls and the Echidnas got me fumbling drills at work guys. It's so INTERESTING!! I want to know more!I want to see the consequences their skewed and biased actions had between each other and those around them. The unfair distorted image they painted each other as and those who fell for it.
Like it's such a cool concept to me, so I'm writing this to explore a little bit of that.

To the point where he finds himself putting his plan of revenge for Maria on hold, unwilling to sacrifice the courageous and daring hedgehog who attempted to protect Shadow even when he himself looked scared out of his mind.
If only there was a way to help Sonic without playing right into G.U.N.'s hands and going back to being their lab rat alongside a collared companion...
Or
Sonic and Shadow both end up as G.U.N. experiments after Shadow's years in stasis. But at least they have each other, right?
