Staring at the swirling hole in his stomach, it almost felt like it was staring back. Weird. It felt intimidating, but you were so curious about how it worked. Steeling yourself, your hand drifted lower, most of your fingers holding up his sweater while one of your fingers experimentally dipped into his void.
It felt numb, like when your leg falls asleep on you, yet also cold. You could vaguely feel it, but it felt like it wasn’t yours. Disconnected maybe, or like you were feeling someone else’s hand, but just a wisp of it. It sounded like it almost muffled the soft hum that came from the void, but maybe you’ve just grown used to it. Well you didn’t die, so you get some points for that. You’re fascinated with the way your finger seems to disappear, engulfed into the darkness.
“H-How does it feel?”
“Like… tingly? It’s kinda numb and cold.” You pull your finger out of his chest cavity, the numbness taking a couple seconds to shake off completely, along with the cold. “It’s kinda hard to describe…”
