Summary
You weren't quite used to being—alive. Would that be the right word for it? Alive? Being visible, physical–is that all it took to be alive? The way air filled your lungs, between breaths in and out, cold then warm. Was it the way when someone glanced over you, their eyes caught and even if they brushed over, they paused for just a second? Was that living? Or was that just existing, and nothing had changed?
