Charles groaned pitifully, sinking further down onto the floor. Edwin did his best to try and help him back up to a sitting position, when he finally caught a glimpse of Charles’ eyes.
They were dilated, blown giant, the black of his pupils almost reaching the very edge of his irises, leaving only a terribly thin ring of his brown eye color. Edwin had been with Charles when he had gotten drunk before, but he had never seen him like this. A new fear seeped into his chest.
"Charles? Charles, talk to me." Edwin begged, helping him to stay upright.
Charles’ mouth moved again, incoherent mumbling escaping his lips, his body lulled back against Edwin's chest as he knelt behind him.
That’s when Edwin suddenly realized. Charles had only had three beers tonight, and half of the one he had abandoned at the bar. That should definitely not be enough alcohol to impair him so drastically.
Charles had been drugged.
Edwin and Charles go clubbing, things take a dark turn when Charles is drugged. Rushed to the hospital, Edwin must care for his friend, but does so at his own expense.

Suddenly, their mode dropped, along with their productivity, and Donnie came to the horrifying conclusion that they were lonely. They missed Mikey’s home cooked meals, now sometimes going far too long without eating. They missed Raph’s enthusiasm and spending time with him. They were even loath to admit they missed Leo’s dumb jokes. And staying up late with Leo when neither could sleep. And ranting to Leo about their day. And listening to Leo’s absurd Jupiter Jim theories. And Leo nagging them about wearing their back brace.
God, Donnie missed their twin.
(Or: Donnie suddenly starts struggling emotionally and physically while in college, but it's a good thing Tim likes to insert himself in other people's business! If only he could help with the random seizures and memory gaps Donnie has been having. A story about college, family, surgery recovery, gay idiots, and Donnie being bad at self care.)

As the shadows dissipated and he fell to the ground, green eyes were on his mind. All he never got to say, the things they would never be able to do together, as the life he had planned before him vanished in a flash of lightening.
He only regretted not telling him how he felt. How he truly felt, after all these years of waiting and dancing around each other. Orbiting a star he could not get closer to or he would burn alive.
Yet here he was, doing just that as the fire in his nerves flickered out.
