“He loves me!” Lilith snapped, a little too quickly to be really believable as rage and something else -hurt, Corrin knew- flashed in her gold eyes. No, she hadn’t been shaking with rage, Corrin realized.
It was deep-seated terror masked as fury. She wasn’t even sure if Lilith knew which was which right now.

In Askr, Corrin finds herself given a second chance with a person she'd seen die in her arms. The trouble was, this Lilith hadn't even met her yet and was only loyal to her father.

Takumi froze, holding the bowl in the air. Hinoka didn’t finish what she was saying to Ryoma, who was—notably—nowhere near either Corrin’s line of sight or soup of any kind. She couldn’t have meant anyone else but Takumi.
The tension hung in the air for a moment; then, Hinoka broke out into uproarious laughter, and everyone’s shoulders relaxed—everyone’s besides Corrin’s. She hid her face in her hands as Hinoka, still chortling, patted her hard. She had been calling him husband! Her love! Of course she didn’t want to call him brother like she used to!

In this alternate universe/alternate timeline, Corrin (female) is mistreated by her Nohrian family, which causes her to spiral into a deep isolation that she sees no way out of. In her trial of combat by King Garon where she is given Ganglari, her dragon blood is riled due to the isolation she has been experiencing, causing her to go berserk. Rinkah and Kaze were severely injured, but managed to escape in time. Corrin reverts back to normal, but the menacing aura of her dragon blood morphs into a dark energy that leaks out of her. At Iago’s recommendation, Garon exiles Corrin from Nohr. Her Nohrian siblings adamantly demand their father reconsider, but Garon’s words are final as he seizes Ganglari. Corrin dons a scarf-hood, leaving the kingdom. The following story is in Corrin’s point of view - first person - as she struggles through her anxiety, depression, and waning hope for the future.
