Assigned to Coruscant, Marshal Commander Fox of the 591st quickly realizes that the heart of the galaxy is not the safe, idyllic posting that everyone assumes it is. Instead, it’s a heartless, cruel nightmare that seems intent on crushing him into the ground. If there’s one thing that he knows, it’s that he won’t let a single one of his men die without a fight. And least of all Lieutenant Thire, who seems to be determined to make as much of a difference as possible.
Everything in the galaxy might be trying to break Fox, so it’s a good thing he’s stronger than it. He’s able to do this on his own, no matter what the others tell him. He’ll never break. No matter what. Never. It’s impossible.
… so why does he feel like he’s about to crumble?

I've been staring at my screen for over an hour...Coruscant is a shitty planet, but the actual planet itself is pretty nice once you get to know her... he? them? it? Thorn doesn't know if a planet can have pronouns, it's just most nat-borns give objects female pronouns. Thorn gave "Hammer" female pronouns because he heard a lot of nat-borns calling their ships she/her... Wait, why is Thorn focusing on pronouns for inanimate objects. He should be focusing on the fact that Coruscant is a living planet... Aren't all planets living though? Coruscant is a really weird living planet and he regrets ever going on a mission to under the, well undercity. "WHERE NO ONE IS SUPPOSED TO GO BECAUSE IT'S UNINHABITABLE FOX!" "NO, I WON'T STOP COMPLAINING, STONE!" "Thire back me up and... where's Thire?"
The guard has been slowly descending down the levels of Coruscant as a means of temporary escape from the harsh demands of the planet above. The lower they go the more toxic it becomes, the more free they feel. They've reached the point where nothing lives, and Fox wants to go lower. All for a few credits. -

Alpha-17 and Obi-Wan realize that Palpatine's the Sith when captive on Rattatak. With one war, two armies, three(ish) Sith, and a lot of questions in their way, they create a plan to save the galaxy. Alpha-17 goes back to Kamino to train ARCs and uncover the mystery of the clones, and Obi-Wan goes to Coruscant to investigate Palpatine (and befriend the Coruscant Guard.)
