Summary
Living in isolation, Layla Hassan didn't know what would come next after Dee's death. Isolation being Layla being physically present and of course, Bayek and Aya in her head. Sometimes, they were useful. Other times they were just...annoying roommates.
That was until the Assassins, the modern Hidden Ones, arrived to the cave with intentions to help, much to Bayek's enthusiasm and Aya's skepticism. And said Hidden Ones included Desmond Miles.
Her ex-boyfriend who went missing and was presumed dead.
And him very much alive.
Layla learns to battle her demons, after battling Bayek's of course, and to come to terms

After returning to Siwa and find Aya in Alexandria, Bayek decides to look for his other mate while he waits for his meeting with Cleopatra. Finding you stirs up old memories and even older emotions as you, Bayek, and Aya work though guilt, love and revenge in hopes that the three of you can find solace in each other again.
This isn't my first fanfiction but I'm ashamed of the rest so I'm posting to the smallest x reader I know. Hoping it stays under 10 Chapters you'll know if there's more or less. This will also not have a consistent schedule. I'm in collage and trying to catch up in actually playing the assassin's creed games.
EDIT(10/13/2025): I'm getting back into writing and rubbing my little paws together with the ideas I have for this fic and others. I think I just got burnt out on this one the last time I worked on it because it was the only one. I'm working on a Shay Cormac x Reader x Other characters and might make an ideas and drabbles work to see what people might be interested in. True to form Aya’s voice is steady, the slight lilt in her words warm but her tone commanding. A stark contrast to the way her heart pounds against her ribcage and how her palms are suddenly slick with sweat. Still, she holds her husband’s gaze, unflinching and unashamed of the request. Bayek for his part just regards her for a second, those full lips of his parted in the black sea of his beard.
The request clearly catches him off guard.
