Tara frowned.
"Isn't that something Mr. Giles could also do?"
Willow snorted.
"Yeah but Giles is gonna rage at me when he finds out what I did, and how I did it."
She shook her head.
"I love you, Tara, I really do. Nothing will ever change that, but it's what we should have done in June. We should have given Faith a second chance, no matter how many reasons people have to hate her. She won't be the B-team Slayer here, either. She'll very directly be the Slayer. And I'm going to do this."

What Astarion would like to say is ‘go away’.

After Astarion falls from the Nautiloid, he ends up somewhere new entirely. Namely, he ends up in Sunnydale not long after a certain group of vampire hunters start college there. Surprisingly enough, nobody gets killed.

... It's a duck.
There's just a tiny bit of magic floating around after Willow ends the Will be Done spell, and it turns the resident captive vampire into a duckling. And he's so adorably angry about it. Question is now... who's going to take care of duckling!Spike? Oh, it's Buffy, of course.
But Spike being a duck doesn't mean everything else goes away. He's got a new perspective, and over time, so does Buffy. Changes to Season 4 grow as time goes on.
I'm sure someone's written something like this before, but I got the idea and here we are. The plot also started to happen, and now I can't stop it.

Buffy is dead. Dawn thinks she might as well be dead to. Buffy's friends have really tried, they have. Mostly Tara and Willow but still. She knows they're trying there best, she really does. But who wants to deal with a griefy teen girl, especially some fresh-out-of-collage kids. Dawn lost her sister, but they lost their friend too.
They also happen to be dealing with keeping 'The Slayer's' death a secret. No wonder they don't have time for her. No one does. Well, not no one..
Second fic ever so do with that what you will. I felt that the Spike and Dawn relationship got shafted so I wanted to explore it a little more.
Also Jenny Calendar is alive in all my fics and my heart. RIP Jenny.
