Summary
Cat Noir is a free spirit; Ladybug is a strict rule follower. Marinette helps ground Cat Noir, and Adrien makes Ladybug see that rules can be suffocating. If a few months after the superheroes are made, Bunnix visits Master Fu to warn him, how will the timeline change? For a while, everything seems normal. Bug and Cat fight villains across Paris, Lila is a lying thorn in Marinette's side, and Adrien cannot stand up to his father.
But suddenly, Marinette loses her miraculous, taken by Master Fu after he heard that in the future, he would lose his memories due to Marinette, and she loses all the miraculous. But Cat Noir can't fight alone. So he asks for a new hero by his side, and Fu gives him Ladybird.
Will she be able to live up to Ladybug's legacy? And how is Marinette doing?

This is an ongoing project. I actually wrote Chapter One between 2 and 4 a.m. on Thanksgiving morning, driven by a mix of depression and longing. But the seeds for this story were planted long before that night. I plan to update when I can—maybe not consistently, but with short breaks between chapters. The pace will likely pick up in summer, as completing full stories is difficult, and I’m a high school sophomore, so... set expectations accordingly.
This story takes place after Chloe’s departure to New York. During a layover in London, she has a fateful encounter with Luka Couffaine in the airport lounge. Luka, too, is returning to Paris after Ladybug deems it safe for him to come back following Jagged Stone’s world tour.
Chloe wants to leave the past behind. She yearns for a new beginning—new school, new life, new friends. Luka is intrigued by her, sensing a fragmented melody he can’t decipher. His curiosity grows, and he becomes determined to understand her.
As time passes, both Chloe and Luka mature—together, as individuals, and within their own circles. Their relationship evolves, and they begin to bloom into adulthood.
