The Invasion of New York didn't just reveal the existence of aliens; it revealed magic as well.
In an effort to protect the planet from all threats, SHIELD looked to all avenues including magic. As the most famous of wizards, Harry Potter found himself thrust into the spotlight again. It was partly his fault as in the years after the war against Voldemort, he became a bit of an expert in magic himself. In his efforts to help make magic more accessible, Harry caught the interest of many people, including the Avengers.
While the world watched, so did HYDRA. To stop the Avengers gaining a magical advantage, they targeted a certain wizard, only they failed to factor in one important thing. Hermione Granger would always come after him and she would bring back-up... just not the magical kind.

When their hiding hole is discovered, Bucky has to decide whether to trust an old face or to remain hidden with the offchance of Lilith perishing. Their memories are sketchy at best, Lilith's moreso, and their enemies are slowly bubbling back to the surface. Is the world ready for the discovery of the supernatural world? Are the Avengers ready for it? Can Bucky and Lilith reclaim their memories, humanity, and autonomy before there are enemies on all sides of them? Is Steve ready to face that there is more to the story with Hydra and their experiments? Crossposted, unsurprisingly. Feedback is much appreciated, as long as it's constructive.
Most of these will involve Marvel/the MCU, DC, Harry Potter, Star Wars, Star Trek, or Buffy the Vampire Slayer. I'm a sucker for canon divergence, both reading and creating, especially when the train actually goes off the rails; it can be easy to get into the habit of 'this is how X event would have looked with the changes I introduced earlier' even when those changes really mean that X event shouldn't have happened at all, and the story ends up being a rehash of canon with a couple of extra flairs rather than an exploration of the core idea. Self-insertion can make that very easy, along with Peggy Sues. In the same vein, introducing a character or group from one setting into another almost always creates an outside-context problem with potentially fascinating results, and many abilities can do the same when transplanted into a new or existing character.

I like robots in video games a bit too much, and I've been waiting for Ultron in Marvel Rivals. Once he was released, I bought the other uncommon green + black skin (the X Ultron skin is ugly, prove me wrong) and haven't stopped playing him. Since it’s pride month, I fear I ate. (Bass drop or mic boom whatever 💔) I rewatched age of ultron for this, the movie that got me on robots as a kid. In the movie he manspreads those beautiful thighs in that church… you get what I mean don't you? We both know what you’re here for.
You/your used for pov in this, and it’s male genitalia described. Do read mindfully, I selected a moderate Mature rating as I've seen horrific things under G-rating and fluff under Explicit. Regardless of what actually happened there is an incredibly intelligent AI-robot-thing on the loose. He calls himself Ultron, and he is looking for a fight.”
“Stark made a killer robot?” Matt asked, dumbfounded. “Of course he did. I still don’t see how having me help is going to make a difference when you have Thor there. Can’t he just zap Ultron with some lightning and be done with it?”

So, the team undertakes operation ‘find the vigilante’ to ascertain the identity of Queens’ newest enhanced person. Despite having no idea what they’re looking for, what they find is absolutely not what they were expecting.
