(Start Crash Site of Unit-08)
Crews were working hard to open the Entry Plug of the EVA worried as to why Mari did not respond to them when called. It was a simple matter of accessing its system and ejecting the plug curtesy of Maya. Following this up they began to open the plug with the manual release of it. Soon enough once they got inside it was then show exactly why Mari had not responded to their prior calls.
Her head was floating lifelessly in the Plug’s LCL as the walls around had been splattered with her blood. Following this up they found her dead body in the seat with a death grip on her EVA Unit-08’s control yokes. She had likely spent the last moments of her life trying to get the EVA away from the WILLE mutineers.
The crews began to make the call to Shiro and the Castle of Lions crew to give them the updates on what had happened. Likely chances are that Mari would be given a proper burial and funeral. It would either be before or after they help Misato retake WILLE from Ritsuko and her fellow mutineers. Which also gave further worry as to what will happen.
(Scene Break WILLE Hidden Base)
Maesha was locked in a room as Ritsuko saw the girl through security images of her cell. The newly minted leader of WILLE had gone through great lengths to ensure the girl was contained. Originally this cell was designed with Shinji and Rei in mind. If the need should arrive the entire cell will explode killing the young girl inside.
Their salvage operation was completed despite prior issues and had accomplished a majority of their goals. However, with the lions having retrieved Misato and the valuable loyalists this made Shinji an even greater threat. It was especially so if he and Asuka came hunting for their abducted child. No one understood this needed to be done all to stop Gendo. Plus, Ritsuko added another lair of defenses to keep the girl contained and ready to be neutralized by their forces. A DSS choker had been attached to the girls neck modified for her smaller size.
Already several more chokers were being made for the girl. As she grows, she’ll need to have a new one placed around her. If she puts up a fight the cell was equipped with knock out gas, so her fighting won’t become an issue here. The rest of Misato’s loyalists were locked up because legally speaking Ritsuko could not have them executed at this time.
“Ritsuko.” Came the voice of Midori as Ritsuko looked and saw Midori standing there glaring at the child. Even through the security images Maesha was crying in a corner as it was clear she was scared and wanted her parents.
“Midori how goes the progress of securing this position?” Ritsuko asked with a cold tone showing her indifference to others.
“Katsuragi’s loyalists have been secured and now we can begin forcing those other brats to cooperate.” Midori said as she smirked at Ritsuko as she finally saw victory within reach of WILLE. They can now retake Earth and not be held back by Katsuragi’s naivete.
“Good keep them locked up and prepare the EVA Pilots for their training, whether they like it or not.” Ritsuko said but Midori smirked there.
“Mana is already handling that.” Midori said showing that she thought ahead before her eyes landed on Maesha. “So that’s the little bastard.” Maesha said glaring at the little girl.
“Ikari and Shikinami’s only daughter.” Ritsuko said glaring at the child on the security images. “And from what my tests have shown the next viable pilot for Unit-01 and the reincarnation of the 9th Angel Bardiel if not its host.” Ritsuko added as the girl had a dormant S2 core. The child was destined to live a long life span if her theory is accurate.
With her further tests the girl had a second set of, ‘baby teeth,’ as it were. Running down her chests were cartilage points likely to allow the safe use of the AT-Field. If Ritsuko was correct those Cartilage Points will likely develop into biological nodes to allow for the girl to channel her AT-Field safely. This was what separated Rei and the girl the girl was a natural born hybrid while Rei was an artificial one. It was funny if Gendo had this girl he would have created a perfect Ayanami type clone through her.
There was so much they can learn from this child’s unique biology that could push mankind further once NERV is eliminated. More then that there was also the fact that she might be the key to unlocking longevity if not immortality. But she can’t run an invasive study without risking angering her father into action.
“So, she’s an angel then?” Midori asked with a glare at the contained young child.
“Yes at least partially so.” Ritsuko said before she let out a frustrated sigh. “Have our files on her relabel her as the 14th Angel designation Nephilim.” Ritsuko ordered as Midori nodded in understanding. “This should keep the crews possible concerns of associating her with an innocent child at bay.” Ritsuko added as she looked at Maesha renamed Nephilim by WILLE as it certainly helped the woman in countering any of her unneeded morals.
Nephilim is not human and thus had no reason to be treated as such by her. For the time being they’ll keep Nephilim contained for further study until she was no longer needed by them. Then once Shinji is dealt with, they can put her down without any concern of retaliation. Ritsuko knew that if Nephilim were killed then nothing would stop Shinji from triggering an impact as a grieving father. Keeping it alive was the only assurance Shinji won’t snap like he did over fourteen years prior.
With a confirmation of being dismissed Midori left as well after offering a salute to WILLE’s new leader. Now that they had control of the organization, they can start making bigger moves against NERV and Ikari’s mad goals.
(Scene Break over with Mana)
Mana sat in a room with two other girls of the same age as her. The first was a girl with long black hair and glasses over her eyes who looked a bit shy here. The second was a young woman of a western origin with long blond hair. The Blond haired girl was glaring at Mana as the other one was keeping her distance. Both of these girls were dressed in prisoner garb suggesting they were not here willingly.
“Mayuri, Maria its good to see you two again.” Mana said but while Mayuri shied away Maria snarled at Mana.
“What do you want you backstabbing bitch!?” Maria snapped her voice showing she came from the United States if it still exists in this world.
“I just wanted to talk.” Mana said hoping that now with the change of leadership Maria and Mayuri will finally see reason and join WILLE. “WILLE needs pilots the war with NERV has reached a new stage and we need backup.” Mana said but Maria slammed her hands on the table they had in this room.
“The answer is still now its been a big fat no from the day you abducted each of us!” Maria yelled glaring at the person she had once considered to be her closest friend. “But no little Ms. Shikinami fangirl wants to live a dead girls ghost.” Maria added almost taunting Mana as Mayuri looked ready to intervene there.
“ASUKA WAS THE HERO THIS WORLD NEEDED!” Mana snapped back but then stopped herself to calm herself down. This always happened Maria always finds a button and presses it to set off her former friend. It was hard to tell at times how long it had been since the incident. “Maria, you know why you and Mayuri are locked up here we need EVA pilots and you two rejected the draft for them.” Mana said as Maria then glared at Mana for using that excuse.
“A draft?” Maria asked with a skeptical tone. “Is that honestly what you tell yourself, just so that you don’t have to worry about all the orphans you willingly made Mana?” Maria asked accusingly but saw no reaction from Mana. It wasn’t hard to tell that like last time Mana had changed for the worse. Whatever was happening out there Mana was becoming less human every time she came to visit her two former friends.
Mana glared at Maria for this was finding herself trying to resist the urge to strangle her former best friend. Everything Mana did was for humanity to fulfill the role Asuka left Mana to perform. It had to be done for the safety and security of the human races future. Regardless, it annoys Mana that she Maria and all these other cowardly brats considered the execution of traitors who harbor unwilling EVA pilots to basically being murder. Their parents were traitors for refusing WILLE they all got what they deserved.
WILLE needed EVA pilots and they will get said pilots. If law enforcements of any kind had an issue with this, then they need to remember that WILLE is the one fighting for their sorry asses. After all, if not for WILLE then these law enforcements would not have a humanity to enforce said laws. It was the same with those people, their children were viable EVA pilots and WILLE needed EVA Pilots. They should have been grateful and even honored that their children were selected to pilot an EVA.
Calming herself Mana got down to what she came down here to do. “Maria you and Mayumi won’t have the option to turn us down anymore.” Mana said calmly to her two ex-friend before her.
“What do you mean?” Mayumi asked with concern finally speaking after Maria and Mana had their little discussion on choice.
“WILLE has had a change in leadership.” Mana said sounding almost smug as she spoke. “Starting tomorrow your training as pilots begin.” Mana said but Maria went wide eyed when Mana had revealed this information.
“We refuse!” Maria snapped as she stood up from her chair slamming her hands onto the table while her chair slid back from the girl.
“You don’t refuse not anymore.” Mana said shocking Maria and Mayumi when she said this. “You can either pilot willingly or we’ll use more forceful methods to get you all to pilot.” Mana said as Mayumi was worried about what that entailed.
“And how do you plan to do that, what’s to stop us from taking the EVA Units and turning them on WILLE?” Maria accused as then Mana smirked at her two former friends.
“WILLE had been working on this method in secret, but I suppose I can share some of it with you.” Mana said as she then leaned forward smirking at her two friends. The smirk Mana gave had almost made Maria and Mayumi fearful of Mana. “The EVA Units need you to synch with them in order to operate but nothing about it says you have to actively pilot them so all we have to do is put you in the plug and our new system will handle the rest.” Mana said revealing a bit of how the new WILLE will get these unwilling pilots to cooperate with their organizations demands.
“You can’t do that, you breaking several laws!” Mayuri cut in horrified over what Mana was implying to the pair.
“WILLE is above the laws we protect mankind from NERV and work to ensure its future.” Mana said as she then stood up from her seat the meeting between them finished. “And we will do whatever it takes to achieve victory and anyone who refuses us or stands against us are traitors to our race.” Mana said as she began to take her leave of her two former best friends. The door opened to allow Mana to exit but she had one last thing to say to the pair. “You may hate us now, but you’ll thank us for this.” Mana said almost smugly as if she saw every act of WILLE to be the actions that were approved by God.
Once Mana was out of the room Maria and Mayumi had this look of horror in their eyes. If what Mana was implying was accurate the children all gathered here were about to become slaves to WILLE and EVA.
(Meanwhile with Mana and Midori)
Mana was met with Midori outside the meeting room as the pair had begun walking away. “Word from the Doctor, we have several EVA Units in storage that are being thawed out as we speak.” Midori said as she walked with Mana through the halls. “I’m also working with her on finishing her new system to get those cowards to pilot those EVA Units.” Midori said as Mana then smiled upon hearing this new updates.
“Good we may have lost one EVA but now we’ll have an entire unite of EVA’s to fight alongside us.” Mana said almost picturing them all maturing up to NERV and killing Gendo to save humanity. Or even better than that, WILLE invading the Castle of Lions to kill the genocidal brat for his crimes.
“Village-3 might give us some issues though.” Midori added as the village would likely not like WILLE being more open with taking away their children.
“They’ll comply with our demands.” Mana said as she didn’t care if Village-3 would reject them and their organizations needs. “They won’t have a choice so long as we’re their defenders what we need supersedes whatever they think they need.” Mana said as already WILLE was in the process of establishing their order upon Village-3.
(Scene Break Castle of Lions)
In the command room of the Castle of Lions the Paladins were gathered with the key members of the crew. Its been a few days since WILLE had abducted Measha and by the looks of Shinji and Asuka the parents were not doing so well.
Its already been a few days and Shinji had shown the signs of his fears and stresses taking their hold. Shinji seemed to have neglected himself as the stumbles were already forming on his face. Shinji saved almost religiously to avoid seeing his father in the mirror in the morning. So, to see Shinji neglecting that part of himself was a clear sign his daughters abduction had left a mark.
Asuka had bags forming under her eyes showing that she has had a clear lack of sleep. Maesha, her precious daughter had been taken away from her. Asuka’s mind was running on anxiety to fuel horrid scenarios of her daughter and her state of being. Everyone had tried to comfort her especially those who also have children of their own. Both Shinji and Asuka were being provided comfort as any parent would agree what Shinji and Asuka were experiencing was their worst nightmares made real.
Shiro stood there as the meeting had yet to begin but Shinji and Asuka’s state was affecting the teams morale. The worst part was that Shiro could not blame the parents for what they felt, after all their daughter was abducted by WILLE. If Shiro had been in their position he’d probably have been in the same state as them. Still, they had a job to do and that means they had to work on bringing the little girl home.
“Alright lets get started.” Shiro said as the strategy meeting began. “As you are all aware WILLE’s prior leadership had been forced out during a mutiny followed by a coup de tat orchestrated by Ritsuko Akagi.” Shiro said as images of the Paris mission appeared on the screen with Ritsuko’s face added in to boost. “The previous mission when the mutiny took place served as a smokescreen for Black Ops teams under Akagi’s orders broke into the Castle of Lions and abducted Measha Ikari.” Shiro said as this caused Shinji and Asuka to nearly gasp at the reminder of their missing daughter. “Needless to say, their mission was a success.” Shiro said his tone showing the bitterness of this situation.
“However, there is a silver lining.” Acxa said which got the groups attention on her. “I managed to latch on a tracking device onto the Stolen Altean Pod that they had used in their escape.” Acxa said revealing images of said pod and the device.
“Exactly so with it we were able to track them down.” Allura added and soon the images showed a hidden base one that Misato did not recognize from the screen. But she had been updates on recent events with this to know that this base was a place of nightmares for those currently trapped inside.
“What is that?” Kensuke asked as he never seen this based on the planetary scans.
“A base Ritsuko managed to get build and hidden away for her own uses.” Maya announced with a bitter tone showing that what she found it about it was haunting.
“Exactly we managed to get scout probes sent out to find out what’s going on… needless to say its not a pretty sight.” Shiro said his tone laced with a sense of warning to what they were about to see. Soon the screen displayed the base and needless to say many wanted to unsee it. Children teenagers ages 13 to 15 were seen being marched. They were dressed in prisoner scrubs as all of them had DSS Chokers around their necks. WILLE guards were seen pointing guns at them and even using shock prods on them like the children were nothing more than stray animals.
Many of the pilots were showing signs of abuse in varying ways as there was even a pile of something nearby. By the looks of it Asuka as a German could compare it closely to the concentration camps of WWII. This made her fears rise as she realized her daughter had been taken out there.
“What is this?” Toji asked shocked at what he saw.
“An EVA Pilot training camp.” Shiro said revealing this horrific revelation to the current team. “Apparently Ritsuko had taken the Galra’s views on Victory or Death as her own.” Shiro said which did not paint a good image of the current state of Misato’s organization.
“So, let’s go there, bust out those kids and get that girl back!” Toji said taking a stand wanting to rescue Maesha from Ritsuko’s grasp.
“Its not that simple.” Allura said and in turn new images were displayed.
“Village-3.” Shigeru said and, on the screen, they saw armed trucks and WILLE soldiers patrolling the streets. What was made clear was how afraid the villagers looked and to their horror they saw more children being forced out of their homes and the parents powerless to do anything to stop the troops.
“Dr. Akagi and her WILLE have issued martial law and has the entire village on lock down. Nobody gets in and nobody gets out.” Allura said as she displayed the images on screen as there was even a blockade and checkpoints around and in Village-3. “And I can only assume that she is using the old KREDIT connections Misato had informed me about to make something of a mandatory draft for any viable EVA pilot to be taken for WILLE to have pilots.” Allura said showing that Ritsuko had crossed several lines as is and had become a full-blown tyrant.
“Mein Gott.” Asuka gasped as she forgot how cruel humans can be after so long.
“So, this means if we attack Dr. Akagi has hostages she can exploit.” Rei said realizing where this was going. “We need to be in two places at once to complete all of our objectives.” Rei added meaning they needed all the help they can so they can attain victory.
“But the only auxiliary ship we have is the Castle of Lions and its grounded.” Kensuke seeing the issue forming from this current predicament. “And with the fact she has the Wundur we’re at a disadvantage even with Voltron.” Kensuke said before Shiro looked to the group and then sighed.
“Actually, there is another ship.” Shiro revealed knowing it was now or never to reveal to the Voltron team the existence of the second ship. “It’s called the IGF Atlas it’s the ship that was built using the information Dr. Holt had provided the Garrison 14 years ago.” Shiro said giving the group detailed information on the Atlas. “It was made to combat the Galra and if need be, the first in a fleet of Ark type ships should the Angel Wars prove to be impossible to win.” Shiro said showing images of the Atlas as the entire room saw said images with deep interest. “Unfortunately, it was lost during the Second and Third Impacts.” Shiro said before Misato cut in on the topic here.
“And this is Shiro operating under outdated information.” Misato said taking control of the meeting. “But this where it comes to good news, bad news and worse news.” Misato revealing things to the gathered group. “The Good news is that I know where the Atlas is located.” Misato said as the group began to smile upon hearing this. “The bad news is that its in NERV’s possession.” Misato said which got everyone to stop smiling.
“Well, that’s just great why can it never be easy for us?!” Toji bemoaned as he leaned back on his char upset about this development.
“What’s the worse news?” Kensuke asked almost worried about the answer Misato would be giving.
“We can’t power it any fuel we used only gets it off the ground for a few moments.” Misato said showing they were in a bad situation for the Atlas.
“That means we need a Balmerra crystal.” Rei said as she began to consider things carefully on how to proceed. “Or something similar to it.” Rei said and thus Kensuke looked to Rei with concern.
“Rei your not thinking of…” Kensuke trailed off as this got the whole groups attention.
“I am this vessel needs a sufficient power source… and I think we can provide it.” Rei said as they knew what was being said.
“But can it even work?” Kensuke asked worried that their secret project might backfire.
“If we wait or do nothing the results will be the same.” Rei said knowing it was their best shot for them to get the Atlas a good enough power source.
“Ok I’m lost what are you two talking about?” Shigeru asked as he would like an explanation from the couple.
Rei sighed knowing she had to explain herself. “While we were aiding Allura against Lotor and the Galra we discovered something of note.” Rei said and thus made her way to the console before she typed in a few commands. Once she did the image showed a S2 Core suspended in liquid LCL energized by Quintessence. “We discovered an S2 Core detached from an Angel which by all logic should be impossible yet here it is.” Rei said displaying the core.
“Yes, we discovered it imbued with Quintessence likely the reason its able to sustain itself without needing to be attached to an Angel." Allura said as a part of her suspected it was the seed of Knowledge for Altea.
“Are you suggesting this thing can power the Atlas?” Makoto asked interested in the Core.
“It’s very likely it can do that yes.” Rei confirmed with a nod to the man. “If we go forward with this then the last thing, we’ll need is a crew.” Rei said showing that if they wanted to retake WILLE they would need the Atlas and Voltron leading them. Misato looked at the Atlas swearing she had seen it consistently in her dreams lately. However, Misato knew they needed to focus on taking the Atlas and using it to take back WILLE from Ritsuko.
“We need every advantage we can get.” Misato said seeing they had no choice. “Ritsuko knows my moves well if we don’t act with care we’re bound to walk into a trap.” Misato said and thus it was clear what must be done for victory. “We need to get that ship.” Misato finished and in turn they agreed on the new direction they were taking.
“Then lets come up with a plan.” Shiro said knowing they had to hit NERV and take what they needed before Gendo had a chance to respond to the attack.
(Later after the strategy meeting)
Asuka was by her lonesome in the village that was built around the Castle of Lions. Ever since Measha was taken Asuka had come out here and watched as children ran around laughing and smiling. Measha should be with those children instead of being dragged into a war she had no place being part of. But because Ritsuko decided she was a threat that bitch dragged in an innocent child. It was worse because that innocent child was her daughter.
“Penny for your thoughts.” Misato was heard opting Asuka to look towards the voices source.
Asuka’s eyes narrowed into a glare when she saw that Misato was here. “What do you want?” Asuka snapped as her voice came out almost as a snarl towards Misato. It was clear Asuka had yet to forgive her for the incident back when they first arrived back on Earth.
“I just wanted to talk, mother to mother.” Misato said as Asuka then snarled at Misato.
“Oh, now you’re a mother!” Asuka almost yelled glaring at Misato with only contempt. “Sorry did you have other kids without anyone knowing and decided to abandon or cast away?” Asuka went on as she was now on one of her rant. “Did you take them in and then got rid of them when you didn’t need them anymore or did you have other kids besides your son!” Asuka went on as she glared at Misato who just sat there and took Asuka’s rage.
“I know I made mistakes.” Misato began but was cut off by Asuka once more.
“We are well BEYOND the point of mistakes!” Asuka snapped making it clear that she was not listening to Misato. “You think just because you had a kid that instantly makes us relatable to each other?!” Asuka continued as Misato saw where this was going. “You weren’t there when your son needed you the most you weren’t there for him when he had a nightmare or when he was on his first day of school.” Asuka continued as now Misato knew Asuka was angry, but her words still stung deep. “You weren’t there at every major moment of his life and if by chanced you missed it you never once tried to make up for it.” Asuka yelled and while Misato would have bit back, she had nothing to bite with as Asuka was right. “You had not one not two but THREE chances to be a parental figure in a child’s life and all three times you ran off or abandoned them when it suited you.” Asuka said referring to herself amongst that list.
“Asuka I’m sorry I just thought.” Misato began but Asuka cut her off.
“Thought what that I was stronger for not admitting I needed help?” Asuka began as she glared at Misato wanting to hear what excuses she had. “That I was more valuable as an unquestioning EVA Pilot instead of a sad girl who needed validation to her existence?” Asuka said but then she got to the clench of it all. “the only good thing you did for me without ulterior motives was bring me and Shinji together.” Asuka as now her rage was turning into tears. “Shinji thought the world of you he thought that maybe for a split moment that maybe he could experience what it was to be loved as his mother had loved him, but you took that hope that love and smashed it to pieces all because you put revenge over the people who loved and needed you the most.” Asuka said as Misato tried one last time to calm things down for Asuka.
“Asuka… its not me your angry with… is it?” Misato said seeing why Asuka was actually lashing out against Misato.
“DON’T YOU FUCKING DARE TELL ME WHO I’M ANGRY AT!” Asuka yelled her rage now reaching an apex. “Your actions created that organization your desire for revenge took my daughter. They took my daughter.” Asuka stopped as her tears began to stream from her eyes. “Why did they take her?” Asuka teared up and in turn Misato did the only thing she could do for Asuka in the girls grief. Misato pulled Asuka in for a hug and just let the girl cry in her arms. Asuka by instinct only hugged Misato back as the two fell to her knees.
Misato was also in pain not only because Asuka’s words were true but because Asuka was in excruciating pain. The one time the one moment Asuka needed help the most and Misato was completely powerless to do anything for her. Misato knew what Asuka wanted and she knew they needed the Atlas to get it. Asuka wanted her daughter back and would do almost anything to have young Maesha safe in her arms once again.
This was all Misato could do to help Asuka to comfort the girl who had her happiness robbed from her again. It was worse because this pain was caused by someone Misato had once considered to be her closest friend. No mother and no father should ever feel the pain that comes with a child being taken from their arms. Misato knew she had to make this right she had to bring down Ritsuko at all costs even if it means destroying her own organization. Ritsuko had crossed to many lines and turned WILLE into the second coming of NERV.
‘Ritsuko… I’m going to kill you.’ Misato thought to herself her own rage reaching its apex and with it a target to unleash it on.
(Scene Break Over with Shinji)
Shinji was watching the construction of the defenses around the village to protect both it and the Castle of Lions. WILLE would no doubt be coming for him and if not WILLE then NERV. It seems that his return to Earth not only brought the Galra but now had Shinji surrounded by only more enemies. The worst part was one of those enemies had taken his daughter away from him.
“Hey Shinji.” Shiro was heard and turning to his voice Shinji saw Shiro standing there. “Mind if I sit with you?” Shiro offered and thus Shinji scooted to the side.
“Sure.” Shinji said as he made room to let Shiro sit down next to him. Once Shiro was seated the two were silent for a moment as they looked out towards the newly budding defenses. If WILLE had been willing to go to such trouble and abducted Measha, then they needed to be ready for any further WILLE incursions against them both blatant and subtle.
Still Shiro knew that Shinji was in a lot of pain right now. It was a pain Shiro was familiar with after awakening to find the Paladins save Allura had died fighting against Lotors robot. It especially hurt knowing Keith who had been a brother to him had also perished and Shiro was powerless to stop it fourteen years ago. Still, he could do what he can to help Shinji in his time of need.
“Shinji if you need to talk.” Shiro began but then Shinji cut him off.
“Why can’t I do it right?” Shinji voiced as this got Shiro’s attention on the Paladin.
“What?” Shiro asked as he looked to Shinji and upon seeing his eyes Shinji seemed to be working his hardest to keep himself from breaking.
“When I joined Voltron, I was finally doing something I wanted to do.” Shinji said recalling all the people he saved their gratitude for what he did while leading Voltron. “For once everything was going right, I wasn’t hurting and everyone around me wasn’t hurting.” Shinji went on clenching his fists showing his emotions were currently all over the place. “Then when Measha was born, I thought that I could finally have something that was mine and I could be better then my father to let her know that she is loved that she is surrounded by people who love her and care for her.” Shinji said picturing what Maesha’s life would have been life.
“Shinji…” Shiro began but then Shinji cut the man off.
“BUT NOTHING TURNED OUT HOW IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN!” Shinji snapped showing that he was a father scared for the safety of his only daughter. “I failed her… I failed her when she needed me the most.” Shinji said only for Shiro to put his foot down on those thoughts.
“You haven’t failed her Shinji not by a long shot!” Shiro said as he stood up hoping to get Shinji to see reason on this. “We still have a chance Ritsuko knows if she kills the girl nothing will stop you from taking your payment in blood.” Shiro said as it was horrible thing to say but a father would not hesitate to avenge his offspring if she was murdered. “But if you lose hope now then she’s already gone.” Shiro said as Shinji considered the former black paladins words.
“But.” Shinji trailed off but Shiro once more cut the boy off.
“No but’s she’s your daughter your not allowed to give up on her.” Shiro said as this reminded Shinji of how his own father gave up on him. While the reasons were different the outcome was the same, abandonment of the Ikari child. Shinji then took a deep breath to focus his mind as he knew Shiro was right his daughter needed him and he would rather die then give up on her. No that’s not right for not even death will stop Shinji from saving his little girl.
“Shiro…” Shinji began as he stood up and gave Shiro a look of pure determination. “Thank you.” Shinji said grateful for Shiro to knock some sense into his head. “Now if you’ll excuse me… I need to go shave.” Shinji said noting how his beard was starting to look like his fathers own beard. Shiro nodded and in turn Shinji headed back into the castle to prepare himself for the mission. His goal was clear and that was to save his daughter and liberate all of those EVA Pilots. But first they needed to acquire the Atlas from NERV.
Ritsuko may have the Wundur but with the Atlas it might turn the tides in their favor. If not, then at least it can help balance the scales into an even fight between the groups. WILLE had pocked the beast in its cage and took its young… and now Shinji was about to let the beast out to slaughter anything that stands between him and reuniting with his daughter, Maesha. Once Shinji left Shiro was left by himself smiling at Shinji regaining his fighting spirit.
Shiro was alone for a bit and just as he was about to leave a new voice was heard. “Shiro.” Allura was heard and thus turning towards her Shiro saw Allura approaching him.
“Princess.” Shiro greeted as he wondered why Allura had come to speak. “I’m guessing your checking up on our Paladins.” Shiro said as he sat back down and allowed Allura to sit next to him.
“Among other things.” Allura said as she looked to the defenses being constructed around the Coalitions Settlement. After what had happened Allura did not want any more kidnapping attempts from WILLE especially now that she knows that WILLE is forcibly conscribing children to operate the EVA Units. Needless to say, her views of Ritsuko had reached an all time low and it had made her even more protective of her daughter, Juniper.
“This is a complete mess.” Shiro said finally admitting to the current situation of things.
“Yes, in more way than one.” Allura said as she literally refused to let her daughter leave the castle without a guard details accompanying her. Juniper may hate it but this scare and the fact that Maesha had been abducted had put every parent in the castle’s fears to near borderline of full on paranoia. Though no one can blame them for this they were just worried about their own children fearful that they were next.
“I know what you mean.” Shiro said acknowledging Allura’s concerns over both what had happened and what had been happening. First WILLE’s accusations against Shinji leading to a strenuous alliance, then the Galra arriving followed by the near impact, and now the coup against Misato coinciding with the abduction of Measha. “Honestly, I can’t blame Shinji and Asuka for taking it so hard.” Shiro said which Allura nodded agreeing with Shiro’s observations on the young parents.
“I know I would not be handling it well if it had been Juniper.” Allura admitted knowing had it been her own daughter taken she’d have destroyed this planet to have Juniper returned to her. At the very least Shiro can take some comfort that said parented provided a shoulder for Shinji and Asuka to cry on. Empathy truly was a fortunate thing that was universally shared through out the galaxy and its people. Still, it did not make what happened to Shinji and Asuka any less trouble.
“We’re going to get that girl back.” Shiro said as it was more of a vow than anything else here.
“And with that I fully agree.” Allura said refusing to let Ritsuko and her mad followers get away with this. They stole an innocent child from her parents and had been doing it to other children under the pretense of securing the human races future. A nice place in Hell was prepared for people like Ritsuko who view that the ends justify the means. But Allura will like to personally have a word with Ritsuko… and a Glave skewering her.
“Once we have the Atlas, we can finally change the tides.” Shiro said and with that Allura agreed with him. Then things went quiet between the duo as they looked towards their settlements developing defenses. Once their defense grid was up and running, they’ll be safe from both WILLE and from NERV if done right.
“Of course.” Allura said knowing they needed those defenses operational. Plans for the defense grid had already been in the works but that was so they can defend themselves against NERV if they attack directly. Never had anyone thought to make one against WILLE, but after what happened to Maesha everyone was not pitching in. Though it did not kindle joy for Allura that they had to suffer this betrayal. If Allura had her way she’d already have Akagi’s head stuck on a stick to send a message to anyone who considers abducting any children.
“Then why do I suspect there is more that your worried about?” Shiro asked giving the princess a curious look.
“I’m just thinking about the past… about Keith.” Allura said as she looked to the distance, but her thoughts were on those who had passed. “I always told Juniper that if her father had lived… he would have loved her more than even loving you.” Allura said as Shiro chuckled a bit at hearing that.
“Well Keith had always been compassionate; about those he cares about… even if he had trouble showing it.” Shiro said as Allura chuckled a bit at that jab towards Keith.
“Understatement of the year.” Allura admitted with her chuckles before she calmed them down some. “But at the same time… he always kept his distance from those he cares for even at the cost of isolating himself.” Allura said and knew exactly why Keith did this when he was alive. “I’m worried that one day Juniper may learn this fact and any love she had for her father may sour.” Allura admitted as she knew Keith was scared of getting close and losing those, he had grown close to. Those fears were at times justified after he lost his father and then losing Shiro twice.
“Allura give Juniper credit, she’s a smart girl.” Shiro said assuring if or when Juniper learns the truth about that part of her father, she can handle such information maturely.
“She’s smart but she’s also emotional.” Allura said knowing that Juniper was never good at hiding her emotions. It was a skill expected of a princess especially when she’s dealing with local and foreign politics. “She’s head strong and always charges in headfirst without thinking.” Allura said before she sighed a bit sadly to this. “Just like her father.” Allura said as it reminded her to much of what she had lost fourteen years ago.
“That’s not always a bad thing you know.” Shiro said assuring Allura that Juniper was the best of both worlds.
“I know.” Allura said admitting that Shiro was not wrong. “But every time I look at her, I can’t help but think about him.” Allura added to her admission opting for Shiro to put a comforting arm around Allura’s shoulders. Allura knew that Juniper needed to learn to grow and understand that she was to lead their people when Allura’s time comes to an end. But Juniper was stubborn and focused on the stars instead of the here and now.
But Allura can’t deny her daughter was an explorer and a warrior at her core. Allura’s fear her greatest of concerns was when Juniper finally leaves the nest and starts a journey Allura couldn’t follow. It was a frightful thought but as a parent Allura knew that it was inevitable. That did not stop the Altean from worrying herself over her precious little juniberry wellbeing.
“Have faith in her Allura she’ll be ready when the time comes.” Shiro said assuring Allura that everything will be ok for her daughters future. Allura knew this but still her concerns as a parent did not once leave her.
(Scene Break Shinji and Asuka)
In the bathroom the faucet was running as at the sink shaving tools were seen. Shinji had a razor in his hands as his face was covered in shaving cream. It was clear what Shinji was doing at the moment as he glared at his reflection while running the razor across his face. It was no secret Shinji had religiously shaved so as to avoid looking like his own father. After Maesha had been abducted, he had neglected this ritual due to his own depression.
But knowing they were going to get her back once they got the tools put a bit of fire back under the Black Paladins feet. With his ritual caught up Shinji eventually rinsed off his face and after applying aftershave took a good look at himself in the mirror. His fathers face was gone as Shinji felt around the smoothness of his freshly shaved face.
“There’s my big strong idiot.” Asuka gushed as she appeared behind Shinji hugging her husband. “Always did liked you better with a nice fresh shave.” Asuka said smiling to Shinji. “But I still think you need to grow out your hair some get a nice warrior tail.” Asuka said playing with Shinji’s hair a bit.
“And there is the beautiful Mrs. Ikari.” Shinji said smiling at his wife sudden arrival. “And I keep saying if I grew it out, I’d look like Kaji.” Shinji said reminding Asuka why he kept saying no to that advice. However, the mood shifted when they thought of the second reason why Shinji chose to not grow out his hair. But the two then grew quiet as they were reminded of the one important piece missing from their budding family.
“I’m going to kill her Shinji.” Asuka said meaning how she wants to kill Ritsuko for doing this to them.
“I know but killing her won’t cut it, she needs to answer for this with more then her life.” Shinji said as he can think of several scenarios to make Ritsuko and those who support her to suffer their wrath. “But doesn’t matter what we do to them just as long as we bring Measha home.” Shinji said his fears for his daughters safety returning. “I warned them I gave them every chance I could think of to back off, but they didn’t take it.” Shinji said which Asuka agreed.
“They raddled the beasts cage… so when the beast gets out, they will have no one to blame but themselves.” Asuka said agreeing with Shinji’s sentiments. When Shinji did his fathers infamous pose it was not blocking out the world like him, it was Shinji’s way to keep something contained. But now Ritsuko and her parody of WILLE was about to learn this lesson and they will not like it. Once they have the Atlas Shinji and Asuka will be bringing their daughter back home.
(Scene Break Castle Hanger Bay)
Several Altean Pods were set up as the Paladins were once more gathered with several added people for this strategy meeting. Between the mass of people was a projector that displayed the scouted out map of their NERV facility that contained their prize the Atlas.
“Alright with everyone gathered we can now begin.” Shiro said as he then got down to revealing what was their strategy to take the Atlas from the clutches of NERV. “Our attack has several phases, and each phase needs to be completed with chief efficiency.” Shiro said giving the crew a rundown of what was going to happen for them. “The First phase will involve the Paladins.” Shiro began showing off the first phase of their attack. “They will attempt to clear out a path and secure us a landing zone.” Shiro said showing on the projector the Altean Pod which represents the group of pods that would fly out. “Once the Landing Zone is secured and we made our way off we’ll make our way inside the facility this is where things might get trickly.” Shiro said before Misato cut in on this one.
“Initial scouting reports suggest that Gendo had put several layers of security between us and our goal… this means he likely does not want us taking the Atlas from him.” Misato said going down to the next phase of attack. “Aida and his wife have worked together to develop a sort of virus that should be able to shut down most of those defenses, but we’ll have to work fast because those defenses won’t remain down.” Misato said before Kensuke tossed the chip with the Virus to Maya. “Maya you’ll handle our goober.” Misato said which Maya nodded in understanding.
“After we get through those defenses, we’ll be in the main hanger we’ll board the Atlas and load up the power core.” Shiro said but Sakura was confused about this. “The Paladins will be providing support by keeping Gendo from sending any more EVA Units our way.” Shiro said showing the information on the Paladins role in this retrieval mission.
“But doesn’t the Atlas already have a limited power supply like the Wundur?” Sakura asked feeling they should take the ship and escape before installing the ships new power core.
“This vessel was made before the Wundur was developed so it operates under a different set of rules.” Misato said giving the crew an idea of what was going on. “That means we’re going to have to do an on-site installation.” Misato said making it clear that they need to get the core installed the minute they enter the vessel. “Once we have the Atlas, we high tail it out of there via a wormhole provided by Allura.” Misato said finishing the final run of their mission briefing. “We’ll need to perform any final run of modifications and construction here.” Misato added meaning they had to work fast and work smart if they want to succeed in acquiring the Atlas.
“So, are there any questions?” Shiro asked looking around waiting for anyone to raise a hand like Sakura had done. When no hands went up Shiro nodded and knew they were ready to head out. “Good then load up and move out.” Shiro said and in turn everyone knew that it was time to begin.
(Scene Break Hidden NERV Facility)
It seems that WILLE were not the only ones with access to the Pillars. Then again seeing as NERV was a threat even with only Gendo and Fuyutsuki as part of it, then it made sense to consider they had pillars as well. How else would they have kept their bases automated systems running despite the planet Earth’s current state. The facility was nothing of note just several large buildings filled with automated systems circling a larger area of steel. The area was in fact access to an underground hanger that held the Coalitions prize.
The EVA Units set up around the facility were in sentry mode following set patrol paths and being on the look out for any trouble. After the Paladins had eliminated the Spy Satellites NERV utilized, the automated systems had adapted. Now had the EVA’s running patrol routs while interchanging them to recharge the individual units. All was quiet as it seemed to be another day where nothing happened out here.
Just then a wormhole opened up and from it the Lions flew out escorting a grouping of Altean Pods. Upon identifying they systems responded and then proceeded to open fire. “Paladins stay on course and protect the package!” Shinji ordered as they needed to make sure the pods got to the ground in one piece.
“LZ identified!” Kensuke responded as he saw the landing zone they would use.
“Alright pilots get your ships to the LZ while we cover you.” Shinji responded and thus the ships all got moving towards the ground intended to land.
The bases auto guns and rockets were going off as the Voltron Paladins worked on taking out said turrets. Seeing that the Pods were mainly transport oriented this meant they did not have guns that other vessels would have. This was factoring in that the pods were of a design that had not been in use for over 12,000 years.
Lasers went off as did mortar shells but thanks to the Lions acting as living shields the pods managed to make it to the landing zone. The Lions surrounded the pods as they landed as NERV defensed fired on them. Roaring out the lions fired off their weapons as they worked to keep the pods safe from any major harm.
The Pods opened up and in turn Misato lead the charge dressed in combat armor. “Let’s go people we don’t have time to waste!” Misato called out as she was followed by Shiro, Makoto, Sakura, Shigeru, Maya, Acxa, Ezor, and Zethrid. The three Galra hybrids were moving in guns blazing as they covered the rest of the group amongst other armed soldiers in the crew. They had brought in enough people to operate the Atlas with a Skeleton Crew with several soldiers to help escort the teams into the vessel. Amongst them Maya had the new core unit for the ship as she also carried with her the Virus to use against the interior security.
Up in the sky the Lions were seen taking on the EVA Nemesis Units with their lasers blazing through the EVA’s armors. The AT-Fields were not much issue for them as they worked to take the Lions worked as one pride to eliminate the EVA’s. One EVA found its throat being torn out by the red lion lion while another had the green and blue lions pouncing on it and clawing into it. The other two Lions were of course firing lasers to keep the EVA’s from interfering with their ground troops and their mission.
Meanwhile on the ground Maya made it to the console and began hacking into it. Acxa was covering her as Zethrid and Ezor stayed with the others to protect them. Maya worked fast with Shigeru joining in as they took the panel apart and jacked it into a handheld Maya managed to bring with her.
“Come on, come on.” Maya said as she worked fast knowing they did not have the luxury of time and resources from before Ritsuko’s coup. Just then the red light flashed green and in turn Maya smiled at this scene. “We’re in!” Maya called out and thus got to work.
“Alright lets move in and find us a console.” Shiro said and thus as gunfire went off the entire unit moved into the facility to get their prize. They didn’t plan to use it as a base of operations, but they did have ideas there.
Back with the Lions they saw that the teams were inside as the Altean Pods were flying back into the wormhole. Once the pods were through the wormhole closed meaning that the Atlas will have to be there method back. “Alright the ground team is inside team.” Shinji said as Asuka smiled when she heard this confirmation from her husband.
“Then no point in wasting time give the order!” Asuka called out knowing what it will take to win this.
“Of course, Form Voltron!” Shinji called out and thus the Voltron transformation began.
(Forming Voltron)
Black Lion roared out as it flew forward with its arms folding into the needed sections. First it folded backward before folding into the container units and once secured Black Lion began to take on a more humanoid look. Then Green and Red Lion flew in as they flew upward leaving behind a trail of energy in there colors as when they did their legs began to fold up and secure themselves to form the arms of Voltron as once, they did they flew off to continue the formation.
Next up was Yellow and Blue Lion as they flew in and began to fold up their legs to be secured and become more leg like themselves as once, they were secured they now looked more like legs. They were now ready for the finishing touches as they got ready to form up with their prides leader the Black Lion. Red Lion attached first as once it was in the socket a connecter shot out and not only secured the arm but also made sure it was usable as this caused the Red Lion to extend a bit to be the right arm of Voltron.
Green Lion was the next to connect as its back shield was now the shoulder pad for Voltron as once Green Lion was in the socket the connection was made and secured in turn allowed the arm to extend a bit to better form the arm like with Red Lion. As this was done Green Lion roared out. Once this was done Blue and Yellow Lions began to form the legs as when they did it was shown that once the Black Lions rear legs were inside Blue and Yellow Lions it began to seal up to both connect and secure the connection as once it did and both legs were secured the transformation was almost done.
Now that the body was formed Black Lion's head was now ready as the yellow eyes then flashed as the maw opened up as first the crown formed and in turn the maw opened up to reveal the face of Voltron as soon Voltron formation was done. When the formation was done Voltron then crashed the mass of Red and Yellow Lions before splitting them apart while a current of energy went through them. Voltron then struck a pose with legs and wings spread and the right arm pointed upward before releasing a burst of Quintessence that formed the Galaxy behind it in turn as Voltron was ready for battle.
(End formation)
Voltron entered the battle as the mighty legendary defender had several Nemesis EVA Units standing against him. The Paladins also saw this and knew they had to hold the line against them. “FORM SWORD!” Shinji called out and in turn Voltron formed his sword ready for battle. “ATTACK!” Shinji called out and in turn with a roar from the Paladins the legendary defender charged into the fray.
The battle started off with a good start as Voltron began cleaving through a few of the EVA Units with his sword. Once this was done Voltron moved to avoid turret fire from the facility. With this done Voltron proceeded to fire off his left beam and took out a few of the defense towers but not enough to stand a chance.
“Rei! Toji! Form Missile Launchers!” Shinji ordered and in turn both Toji and Rei inserted their Bayards into their respective ports. Once that was done missile launchers formed on Voltron’s legs which then proceeded to fire off a volley of rockets that rained down destruction on the NERV bases automated defenses. With those dealt with Voltron turned his attention back towards the EVA’s.
Voltron held his sword and then proceeded to charge back in no doubt to keep the enemy units from regrouping. They had to act fast preferably before Gendo can send reinforcements to secure the Atlas. If they don’t get the Atlas, then any hopes of rescuing Measha will be dashed.
(Meanwhile inside the base Misato)
“Over here!” Maya called out as the crew arrived at the console and began to work on it. Feeling its warmth Maya saw that that this console was operational. She plugged in the flash drive and instantly the virus went into the mainframe and got to work. Soon enough Maya smiled when she saw the Virus do its job and grant her control of the facility when it comes to the Atlas. “We’re good transferring commands to my handheld.” Maya said and in turn they got to work.
“This is actually easier then I thought it would be.” Shigeru said but Misato knew the reason why it was easy here.
“NERV base’s were originally designed to tackle the Angels which worked under the assumption they were all such colossal sizes.” Misato said revealing what she knew about these important facts. “It stands to reason if the Angels had been human sized then NERV would have been designed with that in mind.” Misato added as they were now using NERV’s biggest flaw to their own advantage.
“Transfer complete.” Maya reported and in turn she got to opening the needed doors while stealing any data she could. “Opening doors now!” Maya called and thus they pathway to the Atlas was cleared for the soon-to-be Atlas crew.
“Lets go!” Shiro called out and in turn they got moving to the Atlas’s hanger. The Paladins did not need to win the fight outside only survive it long enough for them to launch the Atlas and escape from here.
(Back to the battle outside)
“FORM SPINNING LASER BLADES!” Shinji called out and in turn Rei and Kensuke inserted their Bayards into the needed ports. This resulted in Voltron forming two massive charkram’s before jumping into the air and throwing them at the enemy units. The weapons spin through and sliced through the EVA’s like a hot knife through butter.
“We got more EVA Units coming out!” Kensuke called out as he noticed more of NERV’s EVA’s were coming out.
“We really kicked the hornets’ nest then!” Asuka announced with a smirk on her face.
“Good the more they focus on us the more breathing room our allies inside have.” Rei said knowing they had to hold the line here.
“Don’t let up! Toji Shoulder Cannon!” Shinji called out and Toji got right on it.
“YEAH!” Toji called out and from there Voltron formed his Shoulder Cannon before he fired it off on their enemies. Voltron would not falter as even as he hit his foes, he would not leave his position as live bait. If the Paladin’s allies inside the base are to stand victorious then Voltron must hold.
(Later in the Atlas Hanger)
The crew arrived at their destination and were met with the massive size of the Atlas via a viewing room. “HOLY SHIT THAT THING IS HUGE!” Makoto gasped when he saw the massive war ship. The Atlas was everything they hoped from an exterior perspective because even from here they can see the cannons it had attached to it.
“And it will be our means to retake WILLE.” Misato said but took a moment to look at the ship. She swore she had seen it in her dreams once before.
“Will it be enough?” Shigeru asked with clear concern over the ships ability to challenge the Wundur.
“We’ll see soon enough.” Shiro said and thus with a nod the group got moving once again.
“According to the data the Atlas has a squadron of experimental fighters called the MFE Ares.” Maya said as she looked through all the information the Atlas had. “It also has a legion of land based assault tanks called the ATMF Heracles.” Maya added as Shigeru heard this and was surprised by such a new revelation. “The Cannons and other major weapons are close rivals to the Wundur’s and that’s not factoring the particle weapons.” Maya said and thus Makoto had to ask.
“Can you translate that?” Makoto asked and thus Maya sighed to this.
“This ship if we can get it into the air will eat up just about anything thrown against it.” Maya explained as this meant the Atlas may actually be what they hope that it would be.
(Later the Atlas Command Deck)
Misato, Shiro, Shigeru, Maya, Makoto, and Sakura all entered the command deck as Acxa, Ezor, and Zethrid had parted from them with the rest of the ships newly boarded crew. “I want everyone in their stations now!” Misato ordered before she looked over to Maya. “Maya get that core installed.” Misato said as Maya got to work.
“On it.” Maya said as she then opened a hidden console where they can install the ships core. Maya released the core and was preparing for installation hoping for the best outcome here. “Ok this is going to be a tricky process, so I’ll need to contact Rei and.” Maya began but was then cut off when the core flashed to life and teleported from its containment unit and re-appeared in the main engine slot. The results were almost instantaneous as systems all over the vessel began to activate one by one.
Shigeru ran over to the nearby console as did Makoto and in turn they were amazed at what they saw. “Subsystems are operational!” Makoto announced at what he was seeing.
“Megathrusters are go!” Shigeru added and thus it was time to get to work. Before Shiro could say anything, it was Misato who took command on the spot.
“Makoto, I want you on our radar! Shigeru you have the guns! I want Acxa back up here on the helm!” Misato called out issuing orders left and right which caught Shiro off guard when she said this.
“On it!” Acxa was heard from the door no doubt having returned from what she was doing. Ezor and Zethrid also joined in as they took other spots on the ship.
“I got the communications.” Ezor said taking the seat in question as Zethrid took the last available seat in the command deck of the Atlas. Once everyone was in position Misato realized what she did and was about to step aside for Shiro’s command.
“Misato… the ships is yours… captain.” Shiro said making it clear this was Misato’s show.
“Alright, Maya, I want you on engineering.” Misato finished and Maya nodded.
“Right but first the doors.” Maya said and thus she put in the commands needed to open the main doors for the Atlas.
(Back to the battle outside)
Voltron had his sword and shield ready as the Nemesis Units from NERV were on their last wave. It was clear that Voltron had done a severe level of damage to their foes and now were on the verge of clearing this base of EVA’s. However, before Voltron could move to fight the sound of a massive set of doors was heard opening from nearby.
“Is that what I think it is?” Toji asked as he looked to the source.
“They did it we have the Atlas.” Rei revealed and in turn the proof was in the pudding it seems. Rising from the massive doors was WILLE’s newest flagship the IGF Atlas the vessel that will retake the organization and defeat both NERV and the Galra Empire and save the universe from any more impacts.
“Good job Voltron leave these guys to us!” Misato announced as the Atlas hovered over the enemy EVA Units all guns primed to rain down Hell on these biomechanical monsters.
“Right! Paladins disengaged and fallback to the Atlas!” Shinji called out and in turn Voltron split back up into the five robot lions. Once this was done the EVA Series proceeded to fire their weapons up at the Atlas and any remaining auto defenses also activated and fired at the ship. It was likely that they saw it better to destroy the Atlas then let it fall into enemy hands.
“SHIELDS UP!” Misato ordered and in turn the Atlas was soon covered in a particle shield that protected it from EVA Units assault. Misato knew that the Atlas should be able to tank those attacks, but it had been idle for so long she did not want to take to big of a risk here. Zethrid got the shield active and with it the Atlas was surrounded by a particle shield protecting it from fire. The Lions circled around and saw the smoke as it began to settle. The Atlas was completely unharmed by the attack by NERV’s auto defenses.
“Wow those are some strong shields.” Shigeru said as he got the weapon system operational. Zethrid clearly did not like being on the shields likely she would have preferred to be on the weapons instead.
“Atlas crew return fire now!” Misato called out knowing it was their turn to attack. In turn the Shield came down and with it the Atlas targeted its lower guns down on the enemy EVA Units. This served as a test to see if the Atlas has the firepower to do what the Wundur could. Targeting systems were operational and with it the Atlas had a lock on its targets. From there the Atlas opened fire unleashing hell down upon the Nemesis EVA units bellow.
The EVA Units NERV utilized were no match for the Atlas and were destroyed one after the other. The ground exploded from the ion lasers that the Atlas fired. It tore through the Nemesis Units AT-Field destroying them with ease and marking their deaths with massive crosses that reached skyward. The battle was won and now the Coalition had the Atlas to change the tides. Misato smirked as she saw the winds of change were upon them. Ritsuko and by extension Gendo and the Galra won’t know what hit them. However, left in the dark of her machination Ritsuko had her own plans in the work with her remaining EVA.

Ritsuko stood alone in another chamber as she glared up at Unit-02. It was undergoing a great deal of repairs and upgrades. Mana wanted every weapon at her disposal to destroy Voltron. The girl had no care of what happened to her just as long as Shinji died. Whatever Voltron would be walking in on, it will not be an easy fight to win.
Soon Gendo and his Galra masters will pay with their lives. Ritsuko did not take kindly to being used and she did not take kindly to being cast away like a used whore. Gendo may think no man can reach him, but he doesn’t realize that you need to send a woman to do a man’s job in killing Gendo. Once Shinji, Rei, and Gendo are dealt with she can continue her research on Maesha’s biology without concerns of interferences.
