Chapter 1: Complicit Waves

Prologue

Tears ran down Izuku’s eyes like waterfalls. He could feel his cheeks fever with embarrassment. He wiped them away even more when he felt the wet snot on the back of his freckled hand. He knew how he must’ve looked. Pitiful.

“That's so fucking gross!” one of his tormentors exclaimed.

“Bakugou hit him again just for looking like that!” another spoke.

Izuku watched from teary eyes as Katsuki scowled at their classmate.

“Don't tell me what the fuck to do.” Katsuki declared before his eyes met the younger boy on the school floors, his face displaying pure fear.

Izuku braced himself for yet another punch, kick, or any painful affliction but it never came.

Slowly removing his arms from the shielding position he looked up at the blonde.

Katsuki’s expression was one of discomfort almost like pain——Izuku had known him long enough to know that, but before anything else was shown it went back to its usual upturned disgusted frown.

“You know what,” he began gathering the attention of his friends.

“I don't have time for this, I need to study for tomorrow's test,” he explained but not before getting one last kick in.

“Unlike some useless people, my grades actually matter since I'm going to UA.”

And with that, his companions laughed, making Izuku wince more as he held his stomach.

He felt bile come up his throat——hot like lava. Trying his hardness to keep it down. He watched the three leave; laughs fading away like the sunset outside the classroom window.

He laid there on the hard cold floor for a while. He attempted to collect his thoughts and try to push himself up.

He couldn't help but wonder why Katsuki looked that way. The soreness on his face and gut didn't seem to register in his brain what it was caused by. Or rather who.

Katsuki went home that day like typical. That typical being stalking Izuku. Though he wouldn't call it that; simply observing to make sure the quirk-less nerd didn't get attacked by anyone was a better way to put it.

Moreover, their houses were close to each other, like two blocks away. So he had no choice but to take the same way the nerd did back home.

Instead though after beating the dork up he went to the bathroom after ditching his other classmates. His stomach hurt a little so he tried to wait out the ache before he started his wall home.

When he left the school gate he unfortunately found that Izuku was already there.

So he trailed the nerd until he reached the departing street where Katsuki always turned on.
This time when he did make that turn he couldn't help but overhear the aforementioned nerds' hysterical breakdown.

He turned around and peeked through the fence corner only to find Izuku on the ground bowing as a skinny man stood over him giving what looked to be a speech.
Before he could walk up, Katuski’s stomach started to hurt again, this time a bit worse.

He decided he didn't have time for indulging with the quirkless boy a third time today so he quickly turned back around and went home.

The stomachache however didn't pass when he unlocked the door to his home, Nor when he and his mom had a screaming match, not when showered, ate dinner, did his homework/studied, and finally when he laid down for the night it was like it had gotten worse. Even new symptoms like feeling extremely hot in his lower abdomen occurred.

Now, he started to get concerned.
Katsuki was never one to search the web but he was also not going to summit to his weakness and tell his parents.

Sighing in physical pain and defeat he clicked on his search engine.

‘ Why does my stomach feel hot and staby?’

The first result was stuff like the stomach flu and other things he'd never heard of.

‘ Hot painful lower abdomen meaning ‘

Vaguely, he looked at the first thing that popped up which had the words ‘heat cramps’ highlighted in blue.

‘ lower abdomen cramps are a sign of an oncoming heat cycle. If this is the first time you feel this then you may be presenting as an Omeg— ’

“What the fuck…” he muttered.

Katsuki turned his phone off and rested his head on his pillow staring up at the ceiling.

There was no way he was an omega. Sure he hadn't shown any signs of presenting as an Alpha; such as rapid height gain and broad shoulders, but that didn't mean anything. He was still growing, only age 14. He just assumed he already knew what he'd be; he didn't care much to wish for it.

Never mind that, both his parents were fucking Alphas.
How can two Alphas make an Omega?!

Katsuki felt his eyes swell up with watery tears.
No fucking way…was he crying over something like this.

There was a foreign feeling of sensitivity and vulnerability. An urge for the need of comfort washed over him like a crashing wave. He hadn't wanted comfort since he was a kid.

Maybe it was nothing——maybe he was overreacting.
But the inevitable reality that he was an omega was something he couldn't ignore.

Maybe this will wash over through the night and in the morning and he'd wake up feeling good as new.

Or maybe it wouldn't.

○。• ○••・○。・・●○○°。○•・○○°。

Over the next couple of weeks, Izuku trained and trained some more. Meeting his favorite hero was always a dream of he's but never did he think he would be mentored by him. The thought never crossed his mind, but now he even gave him a quirk. A quirk——the very thing he wanted since he was four. He planned to make his gifted power his own so he didn't waste any time playing around.

Another subject crossing his mind——or rather person was Katsuki. The loud teen missed a week of school only to come back completely different. Of course it wasn't that noticeable to others but as someone who's spent their whole lives with the blonde it was.

He was almost timid and anxious. Though they were hidden behind the insults he received, Izuku still detected the furrowed brows and fidgety scratchings of his neck.

He was so hyper-focused on his newfound goals and curiosities that he failed to catch the change in his body. Well he did but he brushed it off as it simply being his hard work showing through his muscles, but maybe he should have looked into——at least a little bit in his rapid height growth.

Going from 5.6 to 5.9 wasn't really normal in the time span of a month. All Might told him that it could be OFA’s power altering his genes or something. However that was quickly debunked when he woke up and felt the urge to ram his cock into…whatever.
He felt bad for his beta mother who had to deal with his rut alone. Though that's the way it has always been. Just the two of them. Neither were expecting him to be an Alpha though. Inko told him that his father was a Beta so they never planned to prepare for anything else.

OFA might have played a role in that, changing his genes as Almight had mentioned. Maybe he had to be an Alpha to carry the weight of the power.
Of course there were things he hated like the scents of everyone around him overwhelming his nose, the fangs in his mouth got caught on his tongue countless times. He didn't get how people could deal with this their entire lives.

Soon, he learned the reason why Katsuki missed a week of school. He learned the real reason behind his strange out-of character behavior.

Katsuki Bakugou was an omega. Izuku had a hard time believing it so he was positive Katsuki was as well.
Izuku never noticed how much Katsuki looked like it too. His face looked smooth like rich creamy white chocolate. His waist was small and his ass was rounder——ready to carry pups. Even though he wore scent patches, Izuku couldn't help but imagine what his scent was like.

Was it sweet like dango? Or did it have citrus undertones like pineapples and grapefruits coated in sugar?

Izuku felt dirty when he thought about the blonde that way. He also felt a sense of pride that he was now taller than him, but the guilt right afterward ate at him.

Katsuki was always supposed to be better than him; he deserved to be because of all the hard work he put in since he got his quirk.

It was like Izuku won the lottery from a card that Katsuki paid for.

Confiding in All Might was…helpful he thought.

“This omega you speak of simply got put in his place.”
Izuku tried not to make a face as he drank from the cold water bottle.

“You're an Alpha now young Midoriya, not only that you wield an incredible power.” he smiled proudly before putting his hand firmly on the teen's shoulder.

“Listen, One Alpha to another, It's our job to protect Omegas like Katsuki-chan, and in return, he nurtures. ” the older one spoke as if he was really a coach.
“But—!” Izuku tried to dispute.

“This is just the way things are, the sooner he learns the better.” Izuku nodded his head in understanding but truly he didn't consider a word.

Katsuki wasn't gonna let his secondary gender stop him from becoming the number-one hero, just by this fact alone he would probably work twice as hard.

“Now get back to work, young Midoriya, the beach isn't gonna clean itself.”

With that, Izuku was motivated to work even harder than before. If Katsuki could see him finally become a hero then maybe they'd be close friends again; just like how they used to be.

○。• ○••・○。・・●○○°。○•・○○°。

Katsuki spent a full week in his room crying as he pathetically rutted against a pillow. If you were to ask him what else he did he wouldn't know.

“I’m fine.” he told his mother, holding back tears and moans as she repeatedly knocked on his door every, what felt like three minutes.

The only information his parents had was that omegas liked to nest and be scented. Of course Katsuki (along with his other classmates) learned in school about secondary genders but there's only so much you can tell a bunch of 14-year-old kids.

His parents seemed to have done their research because when his heat was over he was surprised to see soft pillows and blankets all around him and a mini fridge that sat beside his nightstand. Then again they missed a week at their jobs to tend to him.

He remembers when they would leave him with Izuku’s mom for weeks with only a Goodbye and 20000 yen.

Still, Katsuki hated his newfound irguges. He was never one to be clingy and touchy. When he entered his double digits he didn’t ask to be tucked in or coddled anymore. Now, however, he found himself wanting to be hugged and doted on. Currently, a necessity he’d die without.

Everyone assumed he would be an Alpha——hell he did too. Still being a hero was his main priority. Nothing would change the fact he was going to be the number one hero.

Not even Izuku's potent scent after he'd missed a week of school. Katsuki couldn't stop from sniffing out the barely-there draft. His scent glands were covered by the patches but faintly it was still there. Like earthy woodland in tropical surroundings.

So distracted and concentrated on the captivating smell Katsuki forgot to acknowledge what that meant.

“Just because you're an Alpha doesn't mean I won't kick your ass.” he found himself saying as he was alone in the class with the green-haired boy.

Katsuki stared up at him slightly. He was now taller than him by two inches. Katsuki was 5.6 and a half which really wasn't all that different from Izuku in his opinion (Izuku’s 5.9). He was still stronger than him.

“Kacchan I don't want to fight please.. ”
Izuku backed up a bit, clenching his yellow backpack straps that laid across his lean shoulders.
“Did I ask what the fuck you wanted?” he took a step closer intimating the young Alpha.

“What, you think that you're some big shot now huh?”

“No! That's not—”

“Shut up!”

Izuku didn't even realize that the punch didn't seem as painful as the last ones he'd taken over the years.

“You're still a useless, quirkless wanna-be hero, I'll be the number one, not you!”

Katsuki smiled deviously as he watched Izuku flench from his pale fist. Raising it higher he laughed callously and cold.

“Pathetic, just do everyone a favor and hang yourself.”

Izuku stood there for a moment not noticing the blonde left.

Almight told him Alphas didn't cry, but that couldn't be true with the way his eyes dropped glass beads that shattered against his hands.

He wiped them away vigorously and didn't stop till the tears did.

His breathing became ragged and dry.

How could he say that?

He asked no one yet, desperately wishing for an answer.

UA was huge. Like really huge. Izuku was nervous, and he was sure people could tell by his stiff walking. He knew he changed a lot during the past 10 months and his training with All might made him a lot stronger. He tried to keep in mind that he was one step closer to becoming the hero he always wanted to be.

Completely lost in thought he didn't notice a hand on his shoulder.

“Hey, you're that kid who saved me!” Izuku recognized her to be the same girl he'd seen a few days ago for the entrance exams.

“I never got to thank you for that.” she blushed; Before he could reply she spoke again.

“I’m Ochako Uraraka, nice to meet you.” Izuku noticed the bumps on her fingertips as she held her hand out.

“My name is Izuku Midoriya, it's nice to meet you too” he shook her hand, watching as she opened her mouth to speak.

“What class do you have?”

“1A, you?”

“Cool, we're in the same class!”

One unexpected twist was seeing Katsuki in the same class as him. He sat comfortably at one of the desks. His feet propped up on the desk with a bored expression on his face.

“Woahh, we have a lot of omegas in our class.” a short classmate with purple hair spoke.

This of course caught the attention of a few including Katsuki and Izuku.

“ I'm surprised, omegas never go far in the ranks.” another one of their peers added.

Izuku could see Katsuki's aggravated face and when his mouth fixed to speak. He fought the urge to send out calming pheromones for the blonde, he could predict an upcoming outburst.

“Would you extras shut the fuck up and keep your opinions to yourselves,” he said to no one in particular.

“That is no way to speak in a prestigious school such as UA!” A buff Alpha shouted as he walked up to the blonde.

Katsuki only scowled at the other rolling his eyes as he rested his feet on the desk in front of him.

The whole class's attention was brought to the two.

“Take your feet off that desk! It’s the first day and you’re already disrespecting school property!”

“Huh? You’re kidding me, right? Did your old school put a stick up your ass?” Katsuki
grinned.

Izuku heard Ochako’s voice, but he couldn't focus on it when other classmates around him were gossiping about Katsuki.

“Are you sure he's an Omega?”

“Yea what type of omega speaks and acts like that…”

“I know he's going to have a hard time finding an Alpha..”

Izuku could tell the blonde heard the remarks. It was so obvious but before he could see his reaction a man began speaking as he walked in the large classroom door.

In a yellow bean bag..?

“Everyone shut up.” The man announced as the students rushed to their seats. “If you’re here to make friends you can leave now.” He finished as he unzipped his sleeping sack.

The class all showed confused faces wondering who this man was. Everything was answered after he pulled tracksuits out of the bean bag and began to talk.

“I’m your homeroom teacher, Shota Aizawa.” That summed up any confusion. “ And put these on, we're going outside.”

All his female classmates seemed to look at Katsuki for a minute. He rolled his eyes and went over to his assigned locker.

Disregarding his urges to be offensive, he ignored them—that was until he heard someone say his name right behind him.

“You’re an omega Bakugou-kun?” Her eyes showed interest and curiosity. It was the same pink-checked girl who couldn't stop clinging to the nerd.

She seemed to understand how rude that came off. “Not that that's bad or anything! I just never met a male one before.” her tits bounced forcefully despite her fitted sports bra as she put her hand out for him to shake.

“I’m Ochako Uraraka, nice to meet you.” Katsuki didn't shake her hand. Instead, he looked her up and down and turned back around to his locker.

“Yeah, same here,” he replied like he was entirely uninterested.

Katsuki rolled his eyes as he walked out of the omegas and female beta-assigned locker rooms alongside the other females. The whole class stared at him and the other omega girls and betas as if they were eye candy.

Certainly, the suits were a bit tight and the elastic fabric seemed to hug curves a bit. It wasn't like it was that captivating. He'd hate to see their expressions when they had to wear swimsuits.

He joined the others not without an audible groan first. The class stood silently anticipating their teacher's instructions.

“You're all going to do a quirk assignment test.”

Everyone around him started to make confused noises. One of the omegas who he saw in the locker room earlier was the first to directly combat his statement.

“But we're gonna miss orientation, sir..!”

Katsuki eyed her, who cares about that when we were training to become heroes? He thought.

“If you wanna make the big leads you can't waste your time on pointless stuff,” he announced turning his back to the few it upset teens.

“UA isn't your typical school as you already know, here I get to run my class how I see fit.”

Students gasped in disbelief. Even Katsuki found that interesting.

“You’ve been takin’ physical tests most of your lives, but now we're testing how well you do in addition to your quirks.”

Katsuki could see where he was coming from. This is a hero school after all, now they're going to be using quirks every day; honing them to become stronger.

“Bakugou, you scored first on the entrance exam. What was your farthest throw with a softball in junior high?” he questioned.

Katsuki tensed slightly not expecting to get called on by their homeroom teacher. He thought for a second about what he was asking before his mouth opened with a response.

“Around 66 meters I think,” he responded in a bored tone.

“Now try using your quirk.”

He was handed a ball by the man “Step in the circle anything goes.” he explained.

Stretching his arms, Katsuki thought about how much heat to add to the throw.

He stepped back and slung the ball forward along with an explosion. He grinned when he immediately couldn't see the small ball anymore. He could feel eyes on him as their teacher turned around the monitor to reveal his score.

“You all need to know your capabilities,” Aizawa announced.

“705! Woah!” some kid with a black streak in his hair said in shock.

“It's the best way to see how well you'll do as a pro.” he finished.

Katsuki watched as his peers got excited, seemingly forgetting about their concerns only minutes ago.

“This looks fun huh?” The class began to quiet down when they saw the smile that held onto something evil plastered on their teacher's face.

“Today you're going to complete a series of tests that you will be scored in; whoever comes in last will be expelled.”

He said it so casually that some forgot to take note of what he just left his mouth.

“If there's a problem you can head home right now.”

And with that, the class began to start.

The first test (out of eight Katsuki learned) was a 50-meter dash. He watched as the others raced against each other and when they finished a robot announced their time. Katsuki took note of the quirks he saw being used. A good majority of them seemed like jokes. He wondered how they even got into a school like this.

When it was his turn he was yet reminded of what pure luck looked like when he saw Izuku placed next to him at the start line. He could feel the muscular alpha's eyes on him but he didn't turn around.

When he heard the gun signifying the go he quickly dashed and set off small explosions from both his hands. He didn't even have time to think before he heard the small robot say his time.

4.013 seconds

He grinned as he came to a stop. He watches Izuku with his hand on his knees out of breath. He still couldn't figure out how he had gotten this far.

The second test was grip strength. At this point, Katsuki was starting to become bored. None of his classmates seemed to have any brain cells with how excited they were to do such minor things.

Of course, he had got a high score even though his body naturally wasn't built for physical strength nor his quirk.

Absentmindedly, he found himself glancing at the green-haired Alpha. He could see he was starting to stress over the tests.

Seriously.. without a quirk how did he think he would last this long? He wondered.

The third test was a standing long jump. Which, yet again, Katsuki passed with flying colors. And just like before he watched the alpha slowly realize he was going to be sent right back home again.

Test after test Katsuki couldn't help but start to consider this a workout. He personally saw no other way of doing this besides kicking Izuku out of the school—in other words: getting rid of the dead weight.

Katsuki was pretty impressed with the other omegas' quirks. They were strong and had impressive quirks.

The one he'd talked to in the locker room had a useful zero-gravity quirk. The other had some type of sound waves quirk and the frog..well she was a frog.

On the last test; which ironically was the first one he did earlier, when it was Izuku’s turn Katsuki watched as the alpha realized that he would be the one to be sent home.

“If Midoriya doesn't shape up soon he's going to be the one sent home.” the buff blue-haired Alpha from earlier exclaimed.

Katsuki looked at him in confusion before speaking. “What? Of course, he is. He's a quirkless loser! I'm surprised he got this far.”

Katsuki spoke but the Alpha looked at him as if he was crazy.

“He has a quirk, what are you talking about?” he responded by unfolding his arms to look down at him. “Did you not hear about the entrance exams?” he continued.

What the hell was he talking about? He hated to be left out of the equation. Was Izuku lying to him about something?

Before he could consider some more he heard the teen step back to throw the softball.

Katsuki rolled his eyes when the ball hit the ground a few feet in front of him.

He didn't quite understand why their teacher was behind him with his black hair and scarf all floaty but he watched silently as he began to speak.

“The judges weren't rational enough, someone like you should have never been able to enroll in this school.”

Finally, someone whose thought process wasn't fucked up. Katsuki couldn't agree more with the man.

Everyone started to go off-topic when Izuku identified their teachers to be underground hero Eraserhead.

Katsuki couldn't fully make out what the man told him but whatever it was it made Izuku slouch pathetically.

He complained as the Alpha stood in the circle with a ball in hand yet again.

This time as everyone waited for him to finally throw the ball he yelled smash as if quoting Allmight was gonna help—

Katsuki’s eyes widened.

He watched the ball disappear in a matters of seconds. All the gasping faded away as he stood there in disbelief.

Deku had a quirk…?

Well of course he did, there's no way he did that purely with raw Alpha strength.

The commentary—as if everyone knew he had a quirk, dissolved like sugar in warm water in Kasuki’s mind.

He was the only one who didn't know.

And it enraged him. He already needed a new scent patch for all the sweating he'd built up but now he was sure the small white patches were soaked——dripping wet with caramelized spice.

Before Katsuki could think he rushed towards the Alpha with the help of his quirk he latched on to the bigger teen making them both come crashing down in the dirt.

“Pathetic fucking nerd! Tell me! Since when have you had a quirk!?” he shouted on top of the alpha with his palm secreting a threatening explosion; itching to detonate in the younger boy's face.

Before he could do serious damage he felt tight bands wrap around his body pulling him back.

“Let me go!” he struggled looking back at his capture who was none other than his teacher.l

“Stand down.” He advised as he tightened the bindings. “It wouldn’t be wise to make me use my quirk too much today.”

The man didn’t seem to care that he was an omega with the way the bands tightened around his body, certain to bruise his pale skin if not taken off soon. Katsuki didn’t know if he respected that or dreaded it.

“It makes my eyes dry,” he admitted releasing the blonde and deactivating his quirk.

Katsuki couldn’t move. Too enraged and in his thoughts——stuck. He recalls when Izuku used to be so weak and pitiful that he would cry at the slightest insult.

Now that he was an Alpha with a strong quirk that came out of nowhere he didn't know what to think anymore.

“Hey are you alright Bakugou-kun?” he heard the omega with the zero gravity quirk ask.

He didn't know how to respond, but he didn't have it in him to tell her to fuck off like he so desperately wanted to, so he muttered a quick “I'm fine.” as dry as it was, it was all he could manage.

“ Well, he's about to tell us the results,” she said before walking off expecting him to follow——which he did.

The whole class stood around idly waiting for the screen to show their rankings. Katsuki could tell that his scent was leaking through a bit by the way the Alphas winced and stared cautiously at him.

“Alright, here's your scores from best to worst.”

When the blue virtual board was revealed Katsuki's mouth went bitter and his eyes started to feel heavy all of a sudden.

Ironically he knew that the two Alphas who were on recommendations would be before him on the leaderboard. He's never gotten third for anything before this.

He couldn't feel any worse than Izuku was because he was placed last overall. Katsuki glanced at him Immediately rolling his eyes at his heartbroken expression. Smelling like a kicked puppy.

That was until their teacher randomly said with such causality.

“I was just kidding about expelling the person who scored last by the way.”

Everyone froze for a second. It was so quiet you could hear the breathing of the ones around you.

“It was only a deception to make sure you gave it your all.”

This time Katsuki agreed with the commentary of distrust and unsatisfactory.

“I thought you guys knew, I guess I should've said something… ” a black-haired Alpha female remarked confidently.

If looks could kill she'd surely drop dead right now.

○。• ○••・○。・・●

When all the tests and training were over it was lunch time. Katsuki looked at the big cafeteria thinking that there would be plenty of room but still, there wasn't a place to sit.

The omegas in his class followed him around like little ducks which he wasn't sure he enjoyed much. They talked about stupid stuff like shopping and when their next heats were. Katsuki didn't listen to it though he was too busy trying to figure out what he was going to eat.

“Hi, are you a first-year? Let me pay for your meal.” an Alpha about the size of a car asked him.

He rolled his eyes and walked past him.

“Stupid slut…” he heard the guy mutter.

Katsuki was going to go up to him but he was stopped when the purple-haired girl put her hand on his shoulder as if she were reading his mind.

Nonetheless, when everyone turned around he flipped the third year’s trey making the food spill on his uniform.

“Hey guys I'm going to go see what Midoriya is doing.” pink cheeks said as she started to head to the table they sat at.

The frog omega followed behind her. “I'll come too!”

Now it was only the ear quirk girl and him. Katsuki saw a set at the table with a small open spot, but he was called over by one of their classmates.

“Hey! Bakugou was it? Come sit with us.” a redhead offered.

The omega beside was going to walk away, seeming that she wasn't called but Katsuki rolled his eyes. “Come on ears,” he ordered, walking to the table.

He recognized the teens to be the redhead alpha and a literal pink beta. Katsuki didn’t see the harm in sitting by them; he would have to spend three years with them anyway and might as well get used to it.

“Say anything weird and I’m leaving,” Katsuki announced.

Their lunch trays made a soft clatter as they hit the table. The alpha was the first to say something not letting an ounce of silence sit in.

“My name is Kirishima in case you didn't remember.” he declared, displaying his sharp teeth in a smile.

Katsuki had seen alpha fangs before but they were never on every tooth like the guy in front of him.

“Im Mina, And your quirk is so fucking cool!” she exclaimed excitedly. “The way you took down those robots at the exams was so badass I wish I had your quirk.” she continued.

Katsuki couldn't help the smirk that appeared on his lips. “Well it takes practice so don't think just anyone can do what I do,” he admitted proudly.

“My quirk is just acid, it doesn't really do much but yours will be super helpful in hero work.”

He picked up his chopsticks realizing his curry was getting cold. “I know.”

Chewing his food he glanced over at the omega beside him. She sat there on her phone while her plate looked like it was barely touched.

“What's your name? I don't think I got it earlier..” Kirishima asked the small omega.

She brought her head up from her phone and moved her mouth.

“Jiro,” she answered curtly.

The two nodded their heads in unison.

“Were you two friends from middle school?” Shity hair assumed after taking a sip of his drink.

He could ask them the same.

Mina seemed interested too. Katsuki finished chewing his food before he spoke.

“No, she's just tolerable unlike some..” he couldn't stop his mind from wandering off to Izuku.

“Are you referring to Midoriya?” she asked too knowingly. “You two seemed to know each other from the way you pounced on him.” she grinned.

Kirishima nudged her below the table, hinting at her to stop her antics.

“Don't be an idiot, clearly I hate the nerd,” he emphasized.

Katsuki could tell the beta wanted to know more, likely why he hated him but she kept her mouth closed and hummed in acknowledgement.

“Sorry about her, she's weird..” Kirishima apologized, giving a quick glare at Ashido.

“Says the alpha who only dates betas!” she argued.

“Mina-bro c'mon! You know omegas don't like me…” he mumbled the last part embarrassed.

Jiro seemed to have heard it when her head lifted revealing a curious expression.

“Why don't they like you?” she questioned.

Katsuki would be lying if he said he wasn't curious too. He seemed like the loveable outgoing type that every omega would drool over (minus him of course).

Why would someone dislike the definition of a perfect Alpha?

“They say I'm too nice and submissive…” he admitted, slightly bitter about it.

“Some omegas want dominating alphas, and you just don't have it in you.” Mina exasperated bluntly.

“It's always someone for his somebody,” Jiro explained, finally saying more than three words.

Kirishima acknowledged her thoughts and smiled, encouraged by her words, “I'll find my perfect match this year for sure! ”

“Keep dreaming..” Mina replied to his hope negatively.

Katsuki could possibly get used to this..

Izuku

The rocks on the grounds scraped against his shoes as he dragged them on the school's pavement. His body ached with each step and the school gate was just ahead. Worst of all, his index finger was incredibly sore.

He was on his way to the train station after a long, exhausting, and stressful day of tests and being on the brink of expulsion. His first day at UA finally ended.

He never thought he’d be so relieved to leave his dream school—the school he fought tooth and nail to get acceptance in.

“I'm so tired..” he mumbled to no one but the warm September air around him.

A little more and he’d make it off school grounds, then he could go home, and wash all the different scents off his worn-out body.

That was until he felt a firm hand on his shoulder.

“How's your broken finger?” None other than Tenya Iida asked deadpan and serious.

Izuku un-tensed his shoulders and straightened his posture. He made eye contact with the muscular teen and smiled.

“Oh, hey lida.” he rested his hand on the back of his head scratching it. “Thanks to recovery girl, it's doin’ fine.” he finished with a relieved smile.

The two continued their walk away from the school grounds, comfortably, they walked side-by-side as if they had known each other for years. Their discussion began to switch over to more of today's disheveled events.

“I was a bit unhappy with Mr. Aizawa’s teaching methods.” lida began with tremendous thought in his tone. “I mean lying to us is downright unmoral. How are we to trust him now?”

Izuku could tell the guy was serious about stuff like this, hell he was pretty upset with their teachers dishonestly too. As embarrassing as it was, he was on the verge of tears when he saw his name last on the leaderboard. To get this far, then to be shut down that quickly, it felt cruel. Like a sick joke.

“Though I trust his judgment, he is an Alpha after all, and UA’s a very prestigious school, so I'm sure they know what they're doing.”

Izuku nodded his head in agreement, but before he could add anything to the others’ sentences; Uraraka had yelled at them.

“Hey! Wait up! Are you two going to the station?!” They stopped their paste and turned around to see Uaraka running to catch up with them.

“Can I join you guys?” She didn't wait for an answer before she squeezed between the two Alphas.

“Zero-gravity girl.” lida greeted more than stated.

Her smiling lips parted to speak. “Let's see.. You're Tenya iida right?” she asked, and he nodded. “And Deku!” She looked over to Izuku next with a wider smile.

Izuku’s face was fixed with confusion.

“Deku?” he questioned.

He didn't remember telling her that name and he'd already sat with her at lunch. She should already know his name from the early afternoon too, although she didn't have a reason to call his name. Maybe she forgot. He thought.

“Well that’s what that feral omega called you, you two seem to have history. Is that a nickname only he can use?” She exclaimed, though the irritable jealousy was evident.

Was she talking about Katsuki?—the feral omega?

Of course, Izuku didn't quite notice it. “Well, you see, my name is actually Izuku, but Kacchan calls me Deku to make fun of me,” he explained, the majority of it with his hands.

“Oh, well that's just rude!” she pouted. “That boy seriously can't be an omega, especially acting like that.”

“You have a point there Uaraka-chan, he might be one of the most aggressive omegas I've seen. He has a well-sculpted face too. What a waste.” lida chimed, the last part said with slight timidness.

Izuku felt a strong impulsive need to defend his old childhood friend. But it was just an impulse.

“He’s actually a good person, you guys just need to give him a chance, he's really strong too.” his disparity was seeping into his tone and face; he could feel his scent release protective pheromones despite the patches on his neck.

“You right Midoriya,” Ochako declared, and lida nodded his head in agreement.

“I should give him the benefit of the doubt, we do have the same secondary gender after all. ” she smiles as she sways gently into Izuku’s side.

Of course, Izuku stood oblivious, he couldn't help but think of all the events of today and how this one moment turned things around. He couldn't wait to tell All Might he'd finally made some promising friends.

Katsuki

The following day of UA was the first introduction to their normal schedule. It began with the morning classes. The core classes they needed to graduate; in Katsuki’s opinion, they were boring and annoying. He didn't get why they didn't get real teachers to teach the actual school stuff instead of heroes. He was convinced that Present Mic had no idea how to teach high schoolers English.

In the afternoon, at lunchtime, he sat with the usual extras that weren't omega-objectifying assholes like everyone else seemed to be.

Katsuki preferred Earphones, Shitty hair, and the pink alien over all their other dick-headed classmates any day.

However, if he had to decide on his all-time favorite class of the day it had to be the heroics class that took place right after lunch. It was like they were saving the best for last because he found himself looking forward to it like a pup would on Christmas morning——his scent sweetened in excitement and anticipation.

Seeing Allmight bust through the classroom doors was more alarming than surprising. Katsuki was always intimidated by his size on TV, but in person, it was too surreal. He wasn't sure if it was a new secondary gender thing he acquired or what, but it freaked him out a bit to be around an Alpha he knew he stood no chance against.

“I am here!” he shouted iconically.

Katsuki couldn't deny it gave him goosebumps to hear and see his childhood idle up close. “ As your homeroom teacher,” he finished the last part with a quieter tone.

The class seemed stunned and exhilarated, he swore he heard someone squealing alongside the thrilled remarks and enthusiastic comments they made upon seeing the number one hero.

“This is your most important class of the day, it’s like hero-ing 101,” he explained. “Here you'll learn the basics of being a pro and what it means to fight in the name of good.” he finished.

Everyone watched patiently (some in awe) as he stretched; they all awaited his instructions on what they’d do today.

“Anyway, let's get started with today's lesson.” He reaches his arm out to display a card in his hand that reads the word ‘Battle’.

“Pull no punches!” he shouted eagerly.

Katsuki felt his lips turn up into a malicious smile. He was purely past enthusiastic.

Well,.. that was the case until the number one hero opened his mouth again.

“Probably pull your punches on the omegas young alphas, don't wanna hurt them.” he laughed and even gained a few more alongside him.

Katsuki's mood never changed so quickly before today.

“Almost forgot.. Here are your costumes!” He pressed a button on a remote controller and what Katsuki assumed to be metal containers came out of the walls; each had a number on them in green.

“They were designed from the quirk registration forms and the recommendations you sent in before school.” He gave them some time to shriek and be excited before he began speaking again.

“Suit up, and meet me at ground beta!”

Katsuki loved his hero costume from the earpieces down to the boots, he'd never been so in love.

He remembers spending days designing the thing and nights staying up to come up with good ideas for each individual part. In the locker room, he unknowingly let out his pleased pheromones which got some of the omegas to do the same instinctively. He guessed it was harder to attempt to nullify his primal instincts, even though he spent weeks trying to study and master it.

Regardless, he knew he looked badass in his hero suit and nobody could tell him different.

He never felt self-conscious before but when he stepped through the doors to meet their teacher and the rest of their classmates he felt like he was the center of attention. Usually, he wouldn't mind it, he was attractive—no denying it, but the attention felt..sorta wrong somehow…

“Bakugo looks so full and round..” he heard the short perv whisper.

Before he could stride over there to check him, his ears now tuned in, he heard more whispers of his name.

“Bakugou’s just seeking attention at this point.” the arrogant female alpha muttered to another classmate beside her.

“ Bakugou-kun doesn't look too bad, but his personality ruins anything he's got,” Ochako whispered to the frog omega.

He knew he had a feeling she was a bitch.

“His curves are barely there, he should've been a beta…” the frog replied back as they both chuckled.

Katsuki never stood helpless and took anything, but he couldn't bring himself to open his mouth. He always had a point to get across, especially now, in times when people didn't know how to shut the hell up. He felt practically pathetic, almost like—

“You look so badass Bakugo!” Shitty-hair exclaimed, nudging his shoulder.

The pink alien appeared at his other side next. “Did you design that yourself?” she questioned curiously. “If so, you have amazing talent!”

He cleared his mind and let out a breath he wasn't aware of holding in.

“My parents are designers so I know a lot about fashion.” he grinned, taking his mind off the extras.

“That's so cool.” Kirishima smiled, showing his shark teeth. “No for real,” Mina added.

Jiro was next to make herself known.

“Did y'all expect All Might to be sexist?” she asked seemingly out of nowhere.

Mina was the first to answer. “I was wondering if anyone else noticed.” she crossed her arms and looked over at the large man standing there posing. “Now that I think about it, he's always saying how omegas shouldn't be on the field fighting villains.” she finished.

The group looked at Kirishima as he sighed rather loudly.

“ I can't believe I didn't notice that, now that I think about it he's always saying things like that,” he exclaimed.

Jiro gave a curt right in acknowledgment. She seemed to have her mind deep in thought, Mina simply nodded still staring at the large Alpha.

The teens' eyes met Katsuki as he spoke. He always tried to subtly avoid conversations that had to do with the harsh reality of sexism in secondary genders.

“What do people say? Never meet your heroes,” Katsuki added as the said hero began to speak.

Izuku

○。• ○•

The training ground was huge. Designed to look like a real city it played its part well. Izuku smiled fondly at the tall buildings and how realistic it looked.

Izuku’s fangs pressed against one another in an attempt to suppress a growl; he even went to the lengths of biting his tongue causing blood to leak from the pricks he made on it. His lips pressed together as he tried to stifle the urge to show his alphan canines.

The brand new patches on his neck started to ich and he tried his best to not let his anger show but how dare they speak of Kacchan that way—as if he were merely an object.

Izuku tried to have self-control when it came to his instincts, and All Might—his mentor, taught him well when it came to being a sufficient alpha in society.

Although Izuku didn't agree on some of the things he'd talk about, it was nice to have some other Alpha to consult with. His mother being an omega in all.

Izuku would tell the man about how he admired Kacchan's resilient and unyielding attitude when it came to being a hero, and how he wished they were still close friends like when they were kids.

Despite all this, All Might continuously told him that Kacchan was feral and needed to be tamed. Later when he figured out that the blonde had Alpha parents he blamed them for being the cause of his constant aggressive behavior.

“No wonder! He thinks he's an Alpha, poor confused child. You must make your omega submit.”

And of course, Izuku tried to tell him that wasn't the case, that he and Kacchan were only friends, but yet again, All Might proceeded to inform him that an omega you've known for so long and cherished is automatically yours.

“Y'all were destined to be with one another.” He would say religiously—and the number one hero was set in his outdated ways, so Izuku knew there was no room for any debate.

But Kacchan is his own person. He desperately wanted to tell the hero at the time, but it never left his lips.

Izuku looked in front of him only to see the short brown-haired omega. Uraraka.

“It's kinda cool though, so I'm not complaining!” she babbled unheard by Izuku’s ears.

He remembers that they were having a conversation—about, he couldn't say. Katsuki was a more intriguing topic, and it stressed Izuku out that he couldn't smell his scent to see if it indicated something the blondes' facial expressions didn't.

The number one hero cleared his throat, a blatant sign he was beginning to speak. Along with everyone else, Izuku removed his numerous thoughts from his head and focused on the alpha’s strong but steady voice.

“Now, you will start your combat training.”

Before he could explain any further details about what they would be doing; the class couldn’t stop themselves from bombarding the number one hero with questions. Some Izuku found pointless, others more meaningful.

“Okay, listen up.” and the students did. “Here’s the scenario. The villains have hidden a nuclear missile in their hideout.” he took a breath. “The hero's job is to ruin the villain's plans by catching the villains or recovering the weapon.” Izuku watched as his mentor flipped the page. Nonetheless, he continued. “The bad guy's job is to capture the heroes or protect their payload.”

The students observed the yellow box he held up. “For this assignment, you'll be in teams of two. You'll choose your teammate by grabbing a piece of paper from this box.”

After a couple of student questions were answered and a series of calculated but random picking, it was time to get with their teams.

Team A seemed almost a coincidence. Izuku had been teamed up with Ochako. Her eyes beamed, and her white teeth seemed to sparkle as much as she showed them.

“Whoa! Isn't it such a coincidence that we get to be on the same team?” she blabbered.

Izuku couldn't help but feel bad for lida as he was teamed with Katsuki, but the Alpha was mature enough to know when to hold his tongue and brush things off. At least he'd hope he was.

The class fell silent again as All Might took the stand. His rather large hands were placed inside two different boxes. One had the word ‘Villain’ upon it and the other ‘Hero’.

“Alright, the first teams to fight will be-” he brought his hands up slowly for the effect and revealed two different balls with letters on them.

Izuku stood still for a bit, he and Katsuki had to battle each other. He could feel the teens' sharp red eyes glaring at him. But it wasn't time to be scared so Izuku clenched his and looked at the blonde with tenacity plastered in his expression.

Katsuki

First, the Villains (lida and Katsuki) had to get in their positions in the building. lida—one of Izuku’s friends—was the last person Katsuki wanted to be on a team with. Katsuki grew more agitated with the noise of the clanking metal from the Alpha’s ridiculous hero costume, which he guessed he and Izuku had in common.

Katsuki found himself thinking back to Izuku’s attitude. He acted as if he was better than him, like his quirk was stronger than his when in reality he should be scared—he would've been scared if he didn't have his brand-new power. Katsuki hated being lied to or played like a fool, so the realization that Izuku had a quirk hit him quite hard.

/Izuku had a quirk all this time and didn't tell me—his beloved kacchan/. He concluded, rolling his eyes at the last part.

Regardless, Katsuki waited for Izuku and his annoying teammate to enter the building. His plan was set in stone. Beat up the nerd and then they’d win. He began looking forward to this even more as he thought of all the different ways he could hurt his childhood friend. Katsuki wanted to pulverize him along with his dreams of ever becoming a hero.

His thoughts were cut short when All Might's voice was heard on the intercom of the building.

Katsuki didn't care to listen to what the hero had to say, whether it was encouragement or more rules set upon them; he didn't bother to hear it. The only thing that lingered vacant in his mind was beating the shit out of the nerd. So he dashed off into the hallways of the building, lida shouted something after him, but he dismissed that too.

・○・○Izuku・○・○

The ringing in Izuku’s ears alone could kill him if Katsuki’s quirk hadn't already. The other students spectating the cameras could hear the static in the speakers as if the noise was too boisterous for the mics to pick up.

The number one hero observed the footage alongside the heroes in training, their eyes filled with astonishment at the omega’s power. Izuku didn’t see what hit him, but that familiar smell of caramelized sugar that burned for too long on high heat, compared with the heavy smoke that blocked his vision was an unmistakable sign.

“Kacchan.”

The omega's name played on his tongue like a chant of endearment in the form of a mutter.

As he massaged his oncoming headache and brushed the dust off his hero suit— sewn by his mother, he began to recall the events that just played out.

He remembered turning a sharp corner with the sound of Ochako’s boots clattering a few steps down the hall behind him as they echoed through his ears he formed a strategy to win without ending up in the nurse's office again; he also knew he wouldn't stand a chance against Kacchan, especially with Ochako’s defense quirk. The only choice was for her to obtain the weapon from Ida while he handled—well, more like distracted Kacchan.

Like now, on the cold metal floor, Izuku fought the urge to shiver, but not only from the cold; Katsuki's glare was much colder, even when he looked down at them like they were beneath him, not only literal but figurative too. Triumphantly, Katsuki waited till Izuku caught his breath.

“You really thought you could win against me?” he grinned, standing on a piece of the wall he blew up, and Izuku decided to return the glare.

The younger teen chose not to make a comment, figuring it was rhetorical. “Are you okay?” he asked the brunette beside him. She smiled before opening her mouth to speak.

“Yeah, thanks Midoriya-kun,” she answered as she smiled virtuously, but abruptly, she frowned upon noticing the alpha paid her no mind—-his eyes were trapped and held captive to the fiery ruby red ones of the blonde in front of them. She couldn't even steal a single glance from the Alpha.

Izuku watched his childhood friend carefully. He couldn't let him get the upper hand again, so this time he gathered the courage to stand. His muscles tensed, and he could already feel the soreness forming throughout his bones and joints. Being the main target of Katsuki's tremendous blasts was beginning to be a struggle, more than he could handle without the use of his quirk.

Katsuki’s cold expression held a hint of boredom as if he grew exhausted from Izuku preparing himself for his next attack. He noticed how Katsuki fixed his lips to speak but Izuku beat him to it.

“I knew you would try to plan a sneak attack and come at me first.” The alpha straightened his stance and flexed every muscle in his body till it began to hurt.

Usually, to Izuku’s knowledge, the blonde wouldn't let him get the chance to speak, a fist would’ve already met his face. Izuku guessed that evidently, he wasn't the only one to have changed over the summer.

“I'm gonna beat the shit out of you so bad All Might’s gonna have to step in and stop me.” he threatened.

Izuku didn't get the chance to remind him of the cameras and the number one hero being in the spectating room listening, Katsuki charged at him at full speed, but the greenette was prepared.

Izuku stopped the teen by catching him by surprise. Izuku knew Katsuki would throw a punch with his right hand first and follow up with an explosion from his left. He'd been studying the omega since they were young and his fighting style always amazed Izuku. So him, being the nerd he was; he wrote down movement for movement on how the blonde fought.

Izuku held onto the older teen's arm and began the defense move he'd learned from his training with all might. He quickly got into his widest but strongest stance and with all his alphan strength he flipped the blonde over as his back hit the cold stone floor. Something deep and primal in him loved to have finally somewhat shown dominance over the omega, it rumbled ‘Omega finally sees how strong we are’ but Izuku pushed it deep in the back of his mind. Contradictory, his alpha winced at the thought of hurting Katsuki, but Izuku knew that Katsuki would want to fight him at full strength, so he didn't hold back despite being told that holding back on omegas showed strength beyond just power.

・○・○Katsuki ○•・○。

When Katsuki hit the hard concrete floor he could fill the air leave his lungs, and return just as harshly. Quickly though, despite the sharp pain that resided everywhere in places he didn't know he had——he sat up.

He didn't even have time to process what just happened before Izuku began to talk.

“Kacchan, I knew you would lead with your left fist, I've analyzed every amazing hero, even you. It was all in that notebook you burned and threw away.”

Katsuki glared over his shoulder as he began to bare his small omegan fangs in irritation.

“From now on, Deku is the name of a hero.” He finished with a determined and confident look on his face.

Katsuki got up from the ground ignoring his body’s pleas in protest to the action. Nonetheless, he took his usual stance and smirked.

“Look at you shaking like a leaf, no matter how scared you are you never give up, it's not bravery it's stupidity.” The blonde didn't care who heard him or what his new friends might think about what he said. They don't know him and if they feel fooled, that's on them for thinking he was some nice submissive omega.

The hallway began to smell like burnt caramel and more of Katsuki’s aromas that read in obvious signs that an omega was furious. His over-secretion of sweat caused his pheromones to leak out his already heavy absorbent patches, which only added to his aggravation. All he could think about was beating the shit out of the alpha who stood in front of him and he had no intention of stopping once his fist connected.

But before Katsuki could take any type of step, a voice rang in his ears.

It was his teammate asking for an update.

“Bakugou, give me a status report. Where are you?” it buzzed and Katsuki had to fight the urge to explode the mic.

Regardless he played along and pressed the button to speak. “Just shut up and do your part! I'm busy!” and with that, he turned it off. He needed no more interruptions.

Like before Katsuki charged at the teen with an explosion behind him and instead of using his fist he decided to lead with a kick. Izuku blocked that too but not with visible struggle. Katsuki could tell the nerd had been training if his muscles and bulking were anything to go by, but it seemed that he picked up some basic combat moves too.

Distracted, he didn't notice the capture tape Izuku wrapped around his boot. Pissed off once again, Katsuki threw another explosion directed at him.

Unconsciously, Katsuki poured out even more overwhelming pheromones as the nerd dogged yet another one of his attacks.

“You're a fucking stalker Deku!! Tryna’ act like you know me!” he shouted at the alpha as he fled further down the hall.

Katsuki noticed the obvious struggle Izuku had as he tried to catch his breath. Regardless he opened his mouth anyway.

“I'm not a stalker Kacchan, you're just predictable.” He said in a tone that made Katsuki want to fight him even more.

To make matters even worse the alpha sprinted down the hall leaving the blonde there stunned.

Katsukis fist-balled and his jaw clenched sharply. Amongst his well-structured face, there was a vein popping out through his smooth pale skin right upon his forehead. Tainting it as well as complementing it. Anger was evident not only through his expression but also through his potent rich scent.

Sweat poured down his forehead slowly as he began his next words without much thought.

“You're fucking weak Deku! Running away like a bitch!” he called out with agitation in each word.

At this point in time Katsuki didn't care if he'd get in trouble for his language, in his mind his priority was set—beating the shit out of Deku was worth every altercation he'd undoubtedly have with his mother.

So, regrettably, he played along with the Alpha’s game of ‘cat and mouse'——running through the hallways looking for him; his boots squeaking with each abrupt and hasty turn down the concrete floors of each corner.

Another explosion and a kick to a few doors later and Katsuki still couldn't find Izuku. The worst part was that their time was running out. He began to think that was the nerd's plan all along. To wait for the brown-haired omega to capture the weapon while the alpha hid like a coward. Katsuki found the predictable idea to be rather expected of his childhood frenemy.

And just as expected the alpha scent was haywire too, Katsuki didn't know what to think of the alpha’s pheromones. He'd smelled alphas before, whether it be his parents or rude strangers who didn't wear patches on the bus he was never fond of their strong dominating scents. It was always too musky for him. But something about Deku’s caused him to breathe it in longer than he should—so he could really get an opinion. It wasn't too dominating but surely wasn't weak—alpha all the way, but there was something hidden behind that forrestisy pine that was subtle and almost luring. It suited him perfectly.

But, Katsuki couldn't afford to be distracted by the nerd's scent right now, he needed to focus on their fight because the teen stood a couple of feet in front of him with his back turned. To his luck, the teen didn’t know he was there. But Katsuki’s emotions came through his glands sending a sweet candied alert to Izuku.

Immediately Izuku spun around, almost tearing something in the process. The two glared with opposite expressions of satisfaction and tenacity.

“I'm not scared of you anymore Kacchan.”Izuku finally spoke. His capture tape pulled tightly through his hands and Katsuki knew he’d undoubtedly try to catch him off guard, and use it again like the coward he was.

Regardless, Katsuki parted his lips “Then stand on that and show me what you can do with that new power of yours!” he grinned, tauntingly.

Izuku watched as the blonde raised his right arm showing off his gauntlet. “Since you've been stalking me for years I'm sure you know how my quirk works.” with that he raised his other hand to hover over the grenade switch. Katsuki felt a new type of unadulterated dignity when he saw the moment Katsuki’s intentions clicked in the alpha’s head.

“This thing is filled with nitroglycerin sweat.” Katsuki could feel his small omegan fangs poke prettily at his bottom lip with his ear-to-ear grin.

With his index on the release switch, he began to speak.  “I'm sure you'll survive this, if you dodge.” and with that, his finger let go of the metal ring.

Katsuki didn't even care about the number one's stern voice playing through the loudspeakers, demanding him to stop, it was too late anyway.

The immediate ringing in his ears told him how damaging the explosion was before the smoke could even subside from view.

The building underneath his feet rumbled like a seismic earthquake, nevertheless, the omega stood firmly against the concrete floor. The backlash wasn't as powerful as he'd thought it be.

When the smoke completely faded Katsuki could see the immense impact he made. The wall further back had an enormous hole in it and the concrete floors seemed as if they'd crumble any second. Some pebbles and rocks scattered everywhere which forced the blonde to watch his step as he walked with victory in his heavy boots.

The closer Katsuki got to the Alpha the more their pheromones clashed. Thickened wooden pine and singed caramel bounced off the walls and floated in the smoke. In the middle of it all—-stood Izuku who struggled to get past a crouch.

・○○°。Izuku ・○○°。

Smoke as thick as cumulus clouds filled his vision. Instinctively, he took a combative blocking stance, which didn't help much for an explosion but he found himself using it anyway.

Still, Izuku held his ground. He didn't fall victim to the concrete floor again. Despite that, his accomplishment was hardly celebrative. His legs trembled like leaves on trees and his face was covered in ash, and he was sure that the stinging pain he felt on his arms and face was newly forming burns from Katsuki's explosions.

When the smoke began to disperse and his vision started to return all he could see was Katsuki. The omega’s silhouette was extremely captivating, Izuku felt as if he was entranced by the way the blonde slowly but confidently approached him. Izuku could smell the triumph in his scent and hear the achievement in the way he carried himself. He could tell the teen was proud of the tremendous explosion he’d set off. This is how Izuku imagined Katsuki to look upon defeating a villain except Izuku wasn't by his side to reside in their collective vanquishment.

“Go ahead and use that weak-ass quirk on me Deku,” Katsuki demanded, as he continued to close the distance between them.

Like before Izuku took a fighting stance he knew he would have to hold his own now. At least till Uraraka found the weapon Ida was guarding.

Izuku glared at the blonde who now stood only two feet away from him. He could see that the blonde had something to say.

“Even if you put your all into this, you'll never beat me.” he declared iniquity as Izuku watched the corners of his mouth reach his eyes.

Izuku chose to ignore the older teens’ taunting and focus on his teammate's status. He now had no other choice but to rely on her, so without hesitation, Izuku pressed the microphone button on the side of his headset.

“Uraraka, How's everything going?” he asked.

Almost immediately she answered. “Not good Deku..” Izuku couldn't be mad given his situation.

“It's okay, you got this.” he chose to add, mostly to encourage himself, considering he'd have to go against Katsuki and his abrupt combat style.

“Still ignoring me huh?” The omega held both his hands out as his palms unleashed miniature intimidating explosions. “Don't worry I'll grab your attention,” he threatened.

Before Katsuki could through his first attack All Might’s voice bellowed on the intercom.

“That's a poor strategy, if you throw an attack like that again I'll stop this fight. ” Izuku only heard the end of his mentor reprimanding Katsuki's combat choices. He didn't pay much attention when he first started speaking, but whatever he told him a minute ago seemed to enrage Kacchan even more, which Izuku found hard to believe was possible.

Izuku looked down for a second then instantly he saw Katsuki charging at him with insane speed. Instinctively Izuku knew he couldn't dodge this attack so he planned to counteract it. Just like before.

He pushed his legs in a strong steady stance and then raised his arms but unexpectedly the blonde changed his position mid-air.

Izuku coughed dryly as he lost his breath from taking an explosion to his back. It seemed as if Katsuki was holding back earlier.

No, maybe what All Might said triggered him and made him lock in. Izuku thought (mumbled) carefully.

Before Izuku could recover physically and mentally from the attack, Bakugou was on with his next move. Similarly to the last time he went against him, Katsuki led with his right arm, but Izuku couldn't dodge an attack from behind. Katsuki grabbed his arm with unmovable strength and with his explosions as an extra boost to lift the bigger teen, he spun around and body-slammed Izuku to the concrete ground.

Izuku knew he had to outstand the omega’s attacks long enough for Uraraka to capture the weapon or he had to use his strength to counteract and dodge Katsuki's attacks. Either one was a desperate attempt at just sitting back and enduring and he knew he wouldn't hear the last of it from All Might. Besides, one thing he knew for sure was that he wasn't planning on losing and he’d known that eventually when it came down to it, he'd have to use his quirk because someone like Katsuki couldn't be beaten on persistence alone.

Izuku got to his knees and began to catch his breath. His hero suit had seen better days and the burns on his limbs would surely scar, but despite all this, he began to strategize.

Surprisingly, the blonde let him make some distance between them. Izuku didn't back up very far. Only a few feet, just enough room to allow him to breathe and think for a minute. But, that minute turned into a second as Katsuki began to approach him once again.

His shoulders swayed back and forth like a lion stalking its prey. Effectively, Izuku fixed his buzzing post-explosion ears to hear Katsuki’s smoothly determined voice.

“Why won't you use your quirk Deku? What do you think you're better than me since you turned out to be some shitty Alpha?!” Katsuki's voice held emotion in it——an emotion Izuku didn't know of and with that the blonde's scent spiked a bit, turning bitter instead of its usual potent sweetness.

Izuku fought the urge to release calming pheromones. The voice in his head began to speak louder. Omega is upset and calm omega down. Was the only thing he could hear ringing in his head.

But, he found what Katsuki said ridiculous. So Izuku felt it was right to tell him so.

“That's ridiculous Kacchan! I only wanted to show you how strong I've gotten, and I know you're better than me, you always have been.” Izuku didn't know if what he was saying made any sense or if it was cringy but it was true and Katsuki deserved the truth. So he parted his lips to finish. “That's why I want to beat you!” he shouted as the blonde closed their distance.

Izuku could see that the omega was preparing his next attack, his palm facing upward and he could see bright sparks coming from it. Almost as bright as his teeth when he opened his mouth.

“Then come at me, if you wanna beat me so bad.” Katsuki declared as his right hand finished charging up an explosion.

Izuku didn't hesitate as he began presiding forward toward the blonde, and likewise, he charged up a surge of energy in his right arm with the power of One For All. His quirk.
